Was sitting at a 25/50 NL table at Borgata in AC. Sitting with pocket Kings and flop comes King/Ace/Ace. Figure I can't lose so go all in for $1230. Guy on the button has me covered and pushes in his stack and shows Ace/King. Toughest beat I ever had and might make me quit the game forever but what the hell i'm a glutton for pain. Heading for Borgata this weekend to get my cash back!!!

So what was the preflop action on this hand? What is it you think the other guy had where you were so confident on your hand after the flop and not think he might have AK or AA?

I was ejected from a WPT regional in a similar situation.
Just unlucky if played right.
This really depends on pos and image. I really hope you were EP and opened for 2.5-4.0x and got flatted. Thats the only way this makes sense. If you were late, villain is surely opening w ak, no way hes flatting or else he should not be playing 25/50. So assuming he 3x, you should be jamming here w kk due to SPR's. If you flat, you commit 20% of your stack and there are 7.5 bb in the pot (assuming youre HU). If you jam pre, again, depending on pos and image, you may get a fold and collect 4.5 bb. I dont know alot of folks who like to flip for 24 bb.
Can villain really call here if you jam pre? Not really unless he likes to Gambol. Your range if you shove has to be jj+ right? If he calls and flips over AA, tough. But jam pre would be the right play here with the limited info posted.

why are you sitting at a 25-50 nl game with 1200? i sit with more than that at a 5-10 game. and yeah you flopped a boat but its an underboat and Ax are the most commonly played hands so youre vulnerable to him catching up even if he didnt have ak. ive had that happen to me a few times. you wanna hear a tough beat? my buddy sits down at the 50-100 nl w 75k first hand gets aq guy lalliberte sittin with 250k he makes it 1500 to go and 6 callers. flop qq8 1 diamond. guy pushes everyone folds my buddy calls. guy says nice call flips over 37 diamonds. you know the rest

Now that is a gross beat. 10 river outs too (assuming turn wasnt Ad). yuk. Sick part is that guy has money to burn. I think he contributes quite a bit to the nosebleed players on FT.
