Just got back from MGM at Foxwoods. Played Texas Hold'em Bonus for about 9 hours, had a great time and won some good $. I was dealt AA (30-1 on the bonus) one time in the aprox. 9 hours I played and it came in the first 15 min at a table. Just wanted to say this is an excellent game to play at the casinos. For you savvy poker players: learn the strategies, play the percentages and know the rules and you will give yourself a decent chance. Anyone else play or know the game at all?

Went to Foxwoods again Thursday with another successful run at the Hold'em Bonus tables...had my girlfriend with me this time so I was only at the tables for about a total of 2.5 hours. No AA bonus but I did score a few bonuses...strategy is key in hold'em bonus....anyone else play?

your right its not "easy" to sit down one day and win right away. You need to sit down with $200-$300 and its not totally uncommon to lose $150 in three hands (3 min). Your playing against just the dealer, so the laws of heads up play will even itself out over the long run. I agree that the antes and bonuses have a rather large house advantage. The player should see the flop with any hand except: 2-3 offsuit, 2-4 off, 2-5 off, 2-6 off and 2-7 off. The house holds a huge advantage on the player when the player doesn't bet the turn and river when they should....this means when the player has a 50% or better chance of winning the hand. That can be tough to determine of course when the player doesn't know the dealers hole cards. I personally will bet the turn and river if I hold any pair after the flop. It gets tricky when the player has a straight/flush draw...but follow your percentages. You can't win every hand so to me its about weathering the storm when the dealer goes on a rush. The player will have his rush too.

It gets tricky when the player has a straight/flush draw...but follow your percentages. You can't win every hand so to me its about weathering the storm when the dealer goes on a rush. The player will have his rush too.

Agree..and like you said, you need to buy in at least 200 to play this game and hopefully get lucky the first couple of hands.

I have a pretty easy strategy with this game. Bet the minimum ante which is 10 bucks at my charity casino until i lose 2 hands in a row. The moment that happens, i double up with the maximum stake which is 25 bucks on the ante until i win a hand. Then i restart go back to standard 10 bets. Have had a decent summer picking up over 1k and only having to go about 10 times this summer.

Whenever i hit the flop, i bet the turn and river. If i have at least a face card or A, and the flop comes out with a pair, i usually bet the turn and river, knowing the dealer has a slight chance of hitting that flop and hoping my A or face card holds up.

Foxwoods is still alright...you havent been in over 5 years? Well, its pretty much the same as far as I remember. The MGM is cool, the hotel is nice, the casino is sweet and the shops are better (for your lady friend). I've never been to Mohegan, mostly because they didn't have a poker room, when did the new poker room open?

Im not sure when it opened, but its new.  If you ever see that pokerstars commericial where Hachem is in that big poker room scene, it kind of reminds me of that.  You ever go down to AC?
