Starting to doubt Player Only (sportsbook) poker

Question

I have always defended online poker saying bad beats happen in real life too.  I am starting to believe that it is rigged.  Used to think everyone that was complaining here were just sore losers but not anymore.  I have played many live tourneys for 15 years in Vegas, Charlestown, AC and never have I gotten bad beats like I have this past week.  Getting my aces and kings in 2 tourneys was pretty bad but it happens (80/20 is no lock but back to back tourneys?)Then today at the 7:15 pm 10k guaranteed $33 tourney game #51273567-151 this happened.UTG goes all-in for 3672 with AsJhI reraise all-in from the button with AcKsThe BB (KTECH23) CALLS with AdTsFlop comes Kc4c8c then Jd and river (I was 98% to triple up at this point) Qd.  This idiot on the previous hand survived an all-in with QQ on an Ace high flop vs a flopped set of 8&#x27;s by catching a Q on the river.Now I know this shit happens, "its poker".  But really this is too much.  Either I just happen to be on the coldest streak of my life (just happens to be online) or this shit is rigged and KTECH23 works for players only or sportsbook or play aces or whatever the fuck.  Just letting everyone know Im done with this shit and I was a big supporter of online poker.  This is BS please save your $ and play at a casino.

Ok i know i said i wasnt playing anymore but i played in the same 10k tourney tonight (fuck me i&#x27;m an idiot).  Not a huge bad beat but I raised UTG with KK and the fuckin guy whos stacking everyone all of a sudden (EXACTLYU LIKE LAST NIGHT) goes all in with AQo.  Its almost like he fucking knows the cards are coming (EXACLTY like last night).  There is no way to prove it (thats how they get away with it) but this is how I go out every time. Agreed, never again and from canada i play or used to play at pokerstars.

Its never ending the BAD BEATS and setup hands at every $ level, no matter how much you dominate, in big showdown hands.

Saving my money from these fixed sites to enter the 10k wsop main event this year in vegas, so thank you pokerstars.

Don, if you continue sending money to these fixers and favortizim to certain player sites, you will be back here in 1-3-6-12 months writing the exact same stuff again, regreting your dec. to go back.

Totally agree Kevin. I have a 3 year old son so my opportunites to get to a live game have been really limited the last few years. So I figured since Ive bet through this site for so long the online poker would be an ok option. Horrible mistake. Im the type of person that doesnt learn his lesson the first time but now Im sure. Used to think "this happens, its poker" (this is how they get away with this BS).

Im happy to say that I will never be a part of this scam and Im happy to hear others seeing the light as well. Good luck to you as well Kevin, and hopefully I'll catch you at a final table in Vegas sometime.

I agree with you guys. Constant bad beats.. It seems as when you join a poker site you do well for the first few months, and then suddenly you get bad beats after bad beats, such as one outers, runner runner,pocket aces busted,... And i mean this would happen to me at least 40 percent of the time.. Its such a joke.. Better to save your money and play at a real table casino knowing if you lose to a bad beat like that its legit. Online poker is turning off more and more players. Knowing that there were cheats in the past on different sites shows me it is possible for it to be happening even now.

I couldnt have said it better.  When I first started playing there I had pretty good success.  I cashed 5-6 tourneys in a row, even getting to a final table.  Enough success where it got me thinking "hey this is legit".  Then once I started playing bigger all the bad beats started.  I know its kind of messed up to say but I am glad that there are others out there that see this.  So I know Im not just going crazy.  Fuck online poker.  Its hard enough winning in a straight poker game let alone where there is cheating involved.  Online poker is one step above online blackjack.  Better luck to you jizzer...make that $ back at the live tables
