Starting bankroll $4k. My home base well be parx. My wife enjoys the
slots and parx is the closet poker room for me. I have been playing for a
few years and ready finally to take what I feel I've learned and take
things serious. No more playing to long and drinking it up to lose what
im ahead .Time to keep track of my play and not just throw away money.
Will be out at parx each weekend playing 1/2 and if there on a sunday
enter the $80 bounty tournament. Will be starting my challenge this weekend.. Hope to be writing here sunday night with a successful 1st
weekend.

Re: got a small bankroll giving it a shot Two costly lessons tonight. Bought in for 200 at new table. 2 players bought 100 rest 200 or 3. Playing tight. 1 hr in finally ak nothing on flop didn't c bet down to 175 or so.was on chinese guy calling down middle pair was on his second 3rd buyin of 200. Chipped up to like 260 when AKs. 1 off button all limp ahead I make it 22 2 callers. Flop a 7 3 rainbow Check check I bet 50 fold chinese guy calls. Turn 10 he checks I go all in he calls dead he trap me ugh lesson learned don't go all in with just a pair on turn. Maybe a smaller pot if raised then fold. Buy in another 300. Was a lil over even then lost can't rember what but down yo 410 or so. Call a raise late postion 108o like 6 callers to a raise of 17. Flop 10s 8h ks check around i bet 100 1 caller. Turn another spade i go all in in he flips q9s river blank Session over.lesson 2 Bomb the 2 pair on flop jm sure he would have folded. 2 session -700 bankrooll +3300

Agree with max if you want to do it as a job you must put in the hours. It's about going the days you work for the time you need. I can't be about going for a session and winning. It's a marathon not a sprint. Put in 2 or 3 weekends solid days till you become known and you know the other regulars. Over time things should roll in your favor if you are a good player. Bank roll management is also another huge factor. If you blow 23% of your bankroll in hour 1st night weather or not you call it 1session or 2sessions it's still probably to much. I would be playing with 5-10% of my roll if I was serious and was trying to make this some kind of job. It can be done, a handful of guys do make it work, but I can be a grind. Best of luck to you and your lady on the slots
See you at the window.
