Question on deals made at final tables...

I have played in several casino run sit n' go's and have won and come in 2nd. Every time we made a deal. Some hosts paid us acco paid us according to the deal while others wanted a winner.

I have read on some other poker forums that harrah's will not honor deals so it is up to the players to handle it themselves. like you said, it is in their best interests to play everything out and crown a winner so while I am sure they know it goes on, but they would never admit it. 

basically it's called ummmmmm wtf is that word contusion or something like that and is illegal in real time poker rooms

I had a buddy that played on the European EPT and he made the final table twice, both deals were made by the last 3 players. He said it's pretty common practice on this particulat tour curcuit.

Can't comment on the others, but wouldn't be surprised.

I don't understand were collusion plays in if the deal is made prior to any cards being dealt befofre the final table of final X amount of players.  I would call in more of an 'understanding/deal' amongest the remaining players.

On a side note I've played in several sit n go's at casinos in Vegas and all but one we made a 'deal' these sit n gos aren't worth millions of dollars and usually take about 5 minutes of discussion... and all the players are content.

I'm kind of surprised some casinos won't honor it becuase one would think the fastest the sit and go's finish the quicker they can switch them over to cash tables.

the Venetian Deepstack honours the deals all the time.  Part of making the deal is also declaring rank order other times they will leave a few thousand to play for.

Vegas is racist for making black chips worth $100 and white chips worth a measly $1.

def not public knowledge but backroom deals happen from time to time, small events are ok to chop (300-500$ buy in)
