New Season of High Stakes....

Do you guys like the 7,2 prop they added on the show?  I think it makes it fun to watch but I wouldn't play like that...it seems other than Antonio and Helmuth everybody who tried that manuver got hammered...and it's just to win an extra $3500.  Also, why did everybody make such a big fucking deal about Helmuth getting up and leaving?  I don't know how long he was gone but if it was under an hour and a half I don't see a problem with it.  I will go play from around noon until six or so and go have dinner for about that same amount of time and leave my chips at the table.

I like it - makes it hard to determine if someone has absolute crap or AA.  Really introduces an interesting element to the game

 

But my approach would be to muck the 7-2 and try to pick off the others' bluffs.  It's clearly not worth it to play and lose a huge pot, simply in an attempt to win about $3500.  These guys' egos and pride are costing them big time

 

Initially I thought the 72 prop was interesting now it's getting rather annoying. Basically its warping the game, effectively changing the rules of NLHE.

 

Often players will disappear for hours at a time sometimes after they've only just sat down when I play. I guess they were pissed at Hellmuth because there were other people waiting............... and because it was Phil Hellmuth.

I guess he left for a long time without telling anybody, when he came back it was obvious he took a shower and was venting in his hotel room. 

 

Leaving because you need to use the restroom, have a smoke, or just take 15 minutes off to shake off the tilts is ok.  but I really think over a half hour is just disrespect to the rest of the players.
