I played last night at Commerce and Jamie was at my table.
Long Story 20-40 blinds called 300 with Q-10 off  Q high flop, Bet 2k he called, blank on turn I pushed, only had about 3500 more and he called he caught a ten on river. He was on the board for the a bigger game 50-100 I think and he left shortly thereafter but he was very nice.
We actually had another hand when I called the 40 with Q Q but I used a 100 chip, he was talking to his buddy and thought I raised so he put 5 20 dollar chips in, so he inadvertantly raised, then a third guy called, I announced a reraise and he says " You just raised!!! " He found out he made a mistake but the third guy was actually a friend of mine so when he said "lets play for the 100" with no raise I said ok, I know he is not an angle shooter so I gave him, and jamie in effect a pass. Flop came rags and I took pot down. Jamie and I spoke after that, he commented that I was a gentleman or something and we talked about our neigborhood. Turned out he lives  less then a mile from me, I knew he lived in malibu because of TV shows but did not know where.

Everyone was there last night after the tourney broke for the night, the main event is on now, I saw everyone just hanging out.
Mike sexton, the grinder, freddy deeb, antonio's good buddy sat next to me at the main game of the 20-40 and came over to bitch at him for blowing him off for dinner. Barry greenstein, eric lingren, gable kaplan, huck seed, etc etc these were just the guys at the 3 or 4 tables right around me that I noticed. It was  a good time , I lost about 7300 playing nine hours which is a long time for me, but it was a nice group. What shocked me is HOW MANY of these guys know each other. I am not talking about the famous ones, or even the small time pros, I mean EVERYONE. It is like that type of game is a relatively small communtiy, smaller then I thought and I know alot of players from vegas but rarely see them outside Las vegas, it was a good time.

I hate that fucking guy.  Next time you play with him, please, do all the poker world a favor and take that punk for everything he has on him.

    Pez,

in bellagio I played the daily tourney the last two days, it is just a 540 buy in had 52 today...I think 44 yesterday..I was running around with friends and did not play much cash at all yet. Played the tourney because my closest friend in vegas likes to play it so we play together.

As far as pros  I did not really think about it but you don't see many at bellagio lately, I saw the sheik, and sam grizzle today but to be honest usually you run into a dozen guys. LA poker classic finale is still on I think  and that had EVERYONE at commerce last sat nite when I was there playing. I played in the 20-40 NL at commerce to answer your question about the stakes I usually play.

I recall reading a story that the Sheik was getting deported for being a child molester or something to that effect? Apparently, he isn't the only one that can " dodge bullets."

I read that also,  if I recall it was something like him being in his mid to late 20's messing with a girl 16 or 17. Something like that

    Fade,

I play everything from 2-5 if playing with friends to 25-50 NL.

Normally I play the 10-20 NL but I prefer the 25-50NL but they do not always have one. The reason being the players in 25-50 are easier to define, you have low level pros and you have rich people who like action, it is pretty cut and dry. Also the rake is of course time and the 10-20 is 7 bucks per half hour and the 25-50 is 9 bucks per so the difference in rake is small and the  difference in ths size of the game is not.  Will be playing week of 3-27 - 3-31 for sure when some covers guys are meeting up at bellagio in  vegas. I will also be there this wednesday for a day and I am sure at some point next week.
