What are good tips or things to keep in mind when playing in a longer session then you are used to ? I would love to play good, run good, and feel good and put together the longest poker session I have ever done.

18 hours? Not a good idea. Even with adderall players have a hard time doing 18 hrs. Check out my post of 20 potential leaks of live players in the "poker pros gone busto thread here in the poker forum". It is like post 115 or something ITT. It will tell you some things to look for and more equally important some things others are looking at in you.
What stakes are you playing? It makes a difference as to the advice someone would give you. Good players can exploit tag players rather easily. If you really are going to play tag I recommend being a nit for the first hour so you can get some respect later in the day/night and you can also observe your opponents style more closely.
If you have access post your stack size every couple hours ITT. Would love to see how your results change over the course of this session. Good luck if you go for it, though I wouldn't.

The goal is very serious.18 hours? Wow! The main tip is use of mathematics, because poker is a math game. It may sound a little bit difficult for 18 hours, but still you should be very attentive. The concentration and the philosophy of body language should be in your head every second. Don't waste your time on abstractions. Good luck!

Playing for 18 hours straight is different than setting a goal to do so. I don't think it's ever a good idea to say in advance how long/short you are going to play for. One day your body/mind may allow you to handle this, and the next it may not.
My only tips would be:
Don't drink alcohol.
Take a few breaks, if only for 10-15 minutes.
Don't jump up in stakes, especially if you get hot early.
Don't risk your bankroll to make it happen. In other words, if things aren't going good, and you are starting to tilt/chase/etc, just scratch the plan.

18 hours is no big deal if you only do it once in a while and after a good night's sleep. I do it every Vegas trip for my last day. I usually get a 6 or 7am flight out, so there is no point in getting a hotel room the night before when I have to leave for the Airport at 4am. So I check out of the hotel the day before when my friends usually fly home and I stay and play Poker straingt from Checkout till I have to leave for the airport the next morning. I usually play in a Donkament or two, or some cash games if I get knocked out. When all is said and done, I usually have payed for about 16 - 18 hours straight before I have to leave for the Airport. Sure, I am a little tired at the end, but it is not too hard to keep your concentration.
