Playing a cheap buy in tourney on Bodog. Kinda low stacked, but not the end of the world (in retrospect) about 2,300 in chips and the blinds at 150/300.. This guy raises in front of me 450 to go. If I just call, he could outplay me after the flop, and Id risk folding a decent starting hand 2 a potential bluff. But b4 I shove it in preflop, I write in the comments "can you lay down the worse hand on one time?" He calls, after thinking it over 4 a while the flop comes 9 10 J rainbow. Turn 3, river 4. U guessed it, he had KQ.

You got all butthurt at weathered for his opinion but heres what I think he's trying to say :
First off, with blinds at 150/300 and you have 2300 to be hionest theres really only one thing to do ever. PUSH PREFLOP. Barring any CRAZY circumstances (aka the three tightest players in the history of civilization going all in in front of you) this is just a no-brainer automatic all-in and regardless of the result you can never second guess this move with this hand and this stack.
Im assuming the guy raised to 750 (not 450, or u meant RAISED 450, regardless) you can basically never call 750 of a 2300 chip stack and fold the flop really, even if the flop was A K Q. Also, you can NEVER EVER EVER fold it preflop with this stack unless like I said about the 3 tightest players ever to walk the face of the earth.
Weathered ripped you a bit cuz this situation is pretty "standard" I guess is the best way to put and if youre scared to shove JJ all in here then youre not gonna win many big field tournies cuz, frankly, this is a pretty easy short stacked spot and youre kinda spinning yourslef into the ground overthinking it. . I think thats what he's trying to say

JJ is hard to play. Just push and if some tard calls you with KQo and beats you, just chalk it up to the luck factor and move on. Over the long haul, you will run into enough TT and pairs below to make up for the times you lose when some tard gets lucky.
