i've taken SOOOO many bad beats on teh cusp of the money lately i'm just done

 

JJ snapped by AK... 11th (top 9 pay, 90 people sitngo) yes i get that isn't really a bad beat but...

 

77 beaten by a flush on board showing 345, dude calls me all in on flop with K6 suited (4 hearts on the board, heart on river)

 

but the worst, the nail in the heart, was the last heads up tourney i played

 

both started with 1500

 

had him down to 400

 

limped on 69o, flop came 69j, i go all in, he calls with a9, j on turn, i lose

 

so he doubles up. i get him down again, put him all in with top pair he calls on flush draw hits it on river. back up to 700 again.

 

then i go on tilt and call his a6 all in with k6... of course, I DONT GET LUCKY

 

next hand he has 1560 and i have 1440.... my kq vs his kj.... i push him all in... you can guess what happens

 

I think playing to many single or double table sitngos is a bad idea.. not only is the rake higher but you fuckin go crazy getting 4th outta 9 for nothing, 3rd outta 9 for barely more than your entry fee

MBAcappa Im with ya buddy...this is getting outta hand. But i love poker and dont have any close casinos near by...home games are shitty. SO my only resort is to play low stakes online 

last night i played 2 tourneys, so much for quitting

 

once again, on the cusp of the money in each

 

JJ loses to AK, K on river

 

88 loses to 33 and AK when the board goes 3RagRagAK

 

I'm just sayin i'm on a MEAN bad luck streak where i cant get over the hump into the money and thats worse than losing right away.

heads up is where you need to turn when you feel lady luckjisnt on your side. Try playing 10 or 20 heads-up matches and I guarantee you'll be ahead after the 20. I used to grind and grind in those tournies seemingly always to get to the end and have my hand not hold. Then I switched to 1-on-1s and literall hav neer looked back since. I started playing just for $5 and $10 a game ad now Im regurlarly playing for $50 and $100s with the same comfort level as I used to have in the $5s. Now I dont claim to be a big baller or anything but I have profited over 9K in 2008 on fulltilt and am just now really hitting my stride. Im shooting for a $4,000 month in July (im up $2,800 with 11 days to go).

 

Ive seen your posts mbacappa and you seem like a good guy, Id love to help you out if youd like. Not that I think Im so good Im instructiing people its just Ive felt EXACTLY how you feel a MILLION times and then inally I did somethin aout it and I NEVER feel that way anymore. Send me a message in MYSPACE or somethin if you ant a little more detailed info of how I win online, Id be glad to share some of my experiences with you and others.
