well that donkey test gave me an idea.  im gonna try and make a situation and you guys can respond on how you would play it.  ill do this once a day.  a lot of the complex ones are going to be based on stories i have heard or personal experience.  heres a basic one for today:

5/5 nl game, 10 handed.  you are on the button.  game has just started but you have played with the whole table, most of the players are loose and like to see flops, only 1 or 2 tighter players. everyone has about 500 in front of them.  they raise preflop a decent amount but not everytime.  anyways this hand:

5 people limp in front of you, you get KK, how much do you raise here?

a point i would like to stress here is that these players are superloose and want to see a flop as much as possible.

It does depend on what image I have at the table as well. I'll give you a few examples on what I would do. If the table knows me as someone to try and steal pots and think i am very loose as well, I might over raise the pot and make it a ridiculous amount like 80 to over bet the pot and just get that one loose donkey to shove or try and make a play at me. If I am known as a tight player i'll probably still throw out a raise thats a little high around 55 and try to limit the field down to 1 or 2 other players.

I do want action with my hand so if I feel like I can't get any action with those raises then I will juice it up just a little bit, knowing that if I get a bad flop with 3-4 callers I am able to get away from the hand.

pretty much what i would do sportsfan.  i like the raise to 55 the best.  i think we have to overraise here, because we know we will be called by some real crap and the whole table if its only 25.  if we make it 55, it probably goes to the flop 2 or 3 handed.  if its only 25 and both blinds call there will be 200 total in the pot and if no ace comes out we almost have to bet if everyone checks to the button.  out of your choices 55, 80, then 25 would be my plan of action.  if we go to 80 or 90 then maybe someone makes a ridiculous all in preflop, but thats probably too much for even the loosest of loose players to call preflop.  say we do make it 55 and all 5 limpers come in, theres 330 out there, and if it is a safe flop like j63, we can then just shove in if its checked to us and pay off the set if someone was lucky enough to have 66 or 33.

im raising probably at this point 10x the BB, since we had a handful of limpers.

I dont care the table image of these guys...no way im winning this hand if I dont raise or raise slightly. IF i raise hardcore and these fools all call, well ill play tight and wait for a monster..hopefully I can go heads up

Run into this scenario almost every weekend. I've noticed many play it differently. I've seen idiots limp in with KK if you can believe it...
Personally with KK, I raise to 45 or 55. I find I normally will get a couple/three to lay down. If A comes on the board, make the continuation bet to see where I am.
If anyone is holding an A, its normally obvious and I can still get a way relatively cheap if I'm convinced someone hit it.
Given the KK is tough to improve on, I like to have a decision made by the turn. Anyone chasing flushes and str8's better be willing to commit all their chips on a chase.
Once more, its a cash game right? I can always reload knowing I did the right thing and that the % will pay off long term.
Just an opinion of course since you asked.
