the fact that he acted like he ouplayed the people to win is what annoyed me. he hit every card in the deck and acted as if he was outplaying people

So after watching the first episode....

 

Love the two newbs at the table - Gold and the kid that won two wsop's this year. Can't wait for gold to lose all his money. I think he did a re-buy in this episode. Not much more to say...kinda a boring episode but great to have high stakes back nontheless

They were laughing at that Chen guy because he was making obvious steals..  It's funny how a continuation bet can work 90% of the time online, but live against pros it looks like a bluff.

DN is amazing how he knows what people are holding.  Gold played alot of different hands and made a pretty good bluff into a 40grand pot.

I LOVED Jaime Gold getting taken to school...it seriously is kinda bordering on a sickness how I can have so much dislike for a person I have never met.  I loved it when Matasow told him "it's kinda hard when your not flopping full houses and straight flushes all the time huh?"  He just started playing like he was scared, he wouldn't raise unless he had the absolute nuts....he could have made any kind of raise at all to the fat asian kid and won that pot where he got rivered, but after Doyle went over the top on him and he had to fold like a bitch, he played exactly like a bitch the rest of the hour. 

 

I also must say, WTF was up with Matasow's shirt?!?  I love Mikey, but that was the est shirt I have ever seen....

poker after dark has to be the worst poker show on tv, its so stupid, a tournament, with real cash on the table, with garbage players. Im sure someone is gonna say "how can usay doyle is bad" im not talking about him but fucking moneymaker, gold, mortenson is ok but hes boring to watch. Id have to say that high stakes poker is probably the best poker on tv, before they put on gold, as a joke i guess, it has the top notch and/or entertaining players and u might actually learn something instead of seeing jamie constantly being outplayed and looking like a fool.

Gold was like a rabbit in headlights. Flat calling with AQ on the button against aggressive players who often raise and call any Ace, wtf? box play like that will get him.

 

Matusow actually played alright except for that rash AI overbet on the flop. Negreanu has obviously watched the tapes of himself from last season, he's playing like a rock.

 

I'm sure things will warm up this week between the mouth and Sheikhan.
