there was a pot with benyamine and guy liliberte that was 1.2 million, guy was 65% to win and told benyamine that h would just take the original bet of 170K or so and they wouldn't see the last 2 cards. Benyamine had the nut flush draw and guy had flopped 2 pair, ben. went all in for 600 k, guy called after much deliberation.

guy was being nice but thats against every thing poker stands for. There is an unwritten rule to show no mercy especially in a high stakes game. Run it 3 or 4 times why go all in Benya if you can't afford to lose?

I couldn't agree more. If he cannot afford to lose the money heshouldn't be there in the first place.

smw, that Guy is a billionaire, he didn't give a shit about the money, so he cut the other guy a break. If they run it once, maybe benyamine doesn't catch the flush, but the more times they run it the more likely he gets a flush at some point. I would say for the show they can't have that shit happening though as what about the next hand for 1.5 million and someone doesn't want to "cancel" the action?

Godfather, I know that guy didn't care about the money. I was talking about Benyamine. I guess that wasn't clear. I agree though, the show definitely doesn't want that happening.
