anyone play in PokerStars Sunday Million tourney

i havent played in it yet, but it seems like if you play tight and dont chase or anything, you have a good chance of finishing at least in the money.....the payout rates are solid too

On Dec.24 I used my points for the first time to play for a seat in the sunday millions. It cost 1000 pts.

There were 125 players and paid off the top 4. With 5 of us left and me in 5th...someone knocked out the 4th place guy. Then an advertisment comes on the screen that you can cash your ticket for something like      93 % of what it was worth. I't was then that I saw that the ticket was worth $1050 that week.

I could picture someone cracking my aces in the first hand and thought I wouldn't ante $1050 of my own money, so I sold it.

 

1083 entered that week

Top 153 paid

Top prize  $233,000

 

I have not won a seat since.

I have been playing in some Free tournaments over there and I find Poker Stars a tough site to go far in tourneys.

 

I always get down to anywhere from 300th place to 900th place and i get knocked out by a bigger hand when I have a decent hand.

 

I don't know what it is.   Maybe the competition is better over there compared to where I'm used to playing.

 

I was gonna ask somebody if those Payouts are legit for that Sunday Millions.    Guys are getting rich in that thing.    Hundreds of thousands of dollars.

 

 

So I guess coldsnap is saying that it costs over $1000 bucks to get into that tourney?   

 

 

That was the only time that I have seen the entry that high. It is almost always $215 but I have seen $500 ones too....I think mine must have been a Christmas special or something...like this weeks is for $1,500,000.  But the entry is $215

 

However you WILL get a lot more players than 1083.

i played a few times .I always play the sattys to get in them and just unregister from the tourny for Ts which can then be used for tournys and sit n goes just like cash.In the sun million you have to get thru usually 6k people so it gets to be a crapshoot but i love playin the satts

they are usually 215 except for the last week of the month than they are 500.Coldsnap was in the event that they have every 3 months for the entry fee of 1050
