won a satellite seat there friday night to a 1000 tournament, of course 3 different floormen gave me 3 different answers as if you can sell the seat or not. was a good field, guy who finished 39th in the world series craig stein was in the tournament (honestly dont know why he would play such a low satellite after winning 165000 a week ago) along with a very talkative annoying lady who took out mark seif on day 1d (this will be on tv she was at a feature table). the consensus of this kevin sliwinski from the people there was that he was a bad player that got lucky, who knows though.
played in a 200 dollar event saturday afternoon and sat next to horse racing owner of afleet alex, i cant remember his name though. was a real nice guy said he had a horse running that night and wanted to kill time. said he is good friends with phil martelli (he lives in philly and said martelli is a huge horse racing guy) and knows rick pitino well. i didnt get nothing this tournament but held on as long as i could and finally went out about 10-15 spots from the money.

honestly to tell you the truth the cash games there kinda suck they have a lot of 1 2 tables usually 1 or2 2 5 games, if you go you should go for a tournament and if its a big tourney then there will be bigger cash games that 1000 dollar tourney im in is aug 23 and 24th right before football. they have a schedule of the tournies on their site.

For one thing, his name is Nick, not Kevin. He is a good friend of mine - he wasn't a BAD player. He has gotten a lot better obviously. He actually one 3 seats - the sold the first two because he just moved out there and it was a bankroll. He kept the third one because he thought it was a sign he should play.

youre right it is nick sliwinski, the fact that he won the 3 seats and sold 2 shows he has good money management, and i have played with him, although it has been a while, and i know i have improved, so im sure its possible he did too. i think he should be really careful out in vegas though, lot of temptation, a young kid that never had that much money could easily think he has an endless supply of cash.
