Why?  Why do they "have to be smarter than that"?  Who's going to complain about an over/under being manipulated?  The home team?  No.  The visiting team?  No.  The fans at the game?  No, not if they aren't betting on over/unders.

Because of Tim Donaghy. If one watches enough games over the years, one will see some strange things. (If you wanna see some "corrupt" calls, watch some rugby league. The phantom calls would drive American fans ballistic, yet they seem to be more acceptable down here.)

You had both teams fighting for playoffs seeds. Utah just couldn't get under that 8-10 Denver lead for the whole 2nd half.

Why refs would be stupid-blatant inside the last 3 minutes as opposed to the rest/majority of the game, is beyond me.

Evidence: Utah 4/4 in FT with under 3 minutes.

Denver: 10/10 in FT in under 3 minutes.

    There you go.

I personally bet a lot of (basic) options cause I preach to myself the more options, the better circumstances there is to choose from.

The last  NBA under I bet was PHX/UTA in PHX.

No more unders for me - that was my last one.

I do agree if the league knew they would do everything they could to keep it out of the public eye, but I want to believe there isn't that much corruption in the NBA. I don't know but it just doesn't make sense to me, I guess im not a slimy cock sucking game fixer tho so who knows what games they decide to fix if any.

I believe very few totals are fixed, and I'm not ready to believe that NBA referees would dare fix sides.

Bator, u said yesterday something about the public money being dwarfed by some huge bets because obviously u wouldnt think a game would be fixed in the public favor.  can u explain if there is any way to find out if that is true?

i guess all of u people crying fix didnt watch the entire game.....first of all kevin harlan and pj carlisimo even said from the beginning that these two teams have played each other 3 times already this year and have combined for over 200 free throws in those three games combined.....nonetheless, that game was a bloodbath....i thought the officials actually let a lot of fouls go and they coiuld have called much more....we could have been there all night if the refs would have called everything....that game was no more corrupt than any other nba game and i actually thought the refs called a good game.....by the way i did not wager on this game, but did watch the entire thing, and i am a registered basketball official in pennsylvania for what its worth

You thought they called a good game?  Oh my God.  Then you musty be a horrible referee yourself.

I remember I was young and naive and thought I had a winner. But as I watched this game I realized the Refs werent gonna let Sir Charles not face Mike in the Finals. It was a revalation to me that games are fixed.

The thing about this game, if I remember right, was that Phoenix only made 1 FG in the 4th quater and 30or32 FTs.

Why does everyone think it so outrageous that games could be fixed. Money influences everything in this world. You think it can't influence the outcome of a fucking sporting event that is just entertainment to begin with.

Bator sides are fixed to. This is the most obvious case EVER I can't believe no one talks about this. I posted this awhile back

In a world where tons of money can influence government, the sale of nuclear arms and assasinations. Yet it couldn't influence the outcome of a fucking sporting event. If it is fixed what are you going to do write your congressman.

In these desperate times who's going to feel sorry for someone who decided to lose his house for betting on NBA games. You are a moron if you let it get that bad anyway and definitly suck at it. I bet these games knowing shady shit happens. Just try to hit the spot when it does. Short lines on teams that have no business being favored and ridiculous totals. Like tonight on Suns GS total. I took over 244.5. I think it's ridiculous for a reason. Small play. They don't hit all the time but more times than not.

I rest my case with this. Line of course was Portland -7 or 7.5.

    New Jersey 20 Sec. timeout
    End of the 4th Quarter
    End Game

I think I was the first one who called this game fixed last night right at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

I just happened to be on the right side of the fix though.

It won't cut and paste. Here's the original post on one of the greatest side fix's of all time. When Portland scored 6 points in 3 seconds with only 10 seconds left in the game to cover. With an intentional foul at the end two free throws and the ball when game was already decided but no they don't let the clock run out Potrland has to cover the spread.

Hahahaha it's tough to knock Puck cause he is consistent and a good guy, but he does usually speak like that. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Can't remember the game, but Brandon Roy cost me a game in the 1st half of the season because of a missed free throw. They must cheat both ways.

    Yawn.
