Heck no.  There's no way China shares the vaccine w us if they're the first ones to discover.   If I were a betting man ( which I am. Lol) , I'd put my money on Europe or the U.S. finding a vaccine first (that actually works).   True, China has a bit of a head start,  but the western world has far better scientists and doctors than China, and we have many more companies working on it.

Yeah. But China forces compliance with human testing while we here will depend upon volunteers that get paid. In China they just grab you out of your house, inject you with the vaccine and then give you a full dose of the virus. They have a trial by error advantage.

China is responsible for a world wide pandemic, and what is their response ?  War Games  and an escalation of tensions !!

p.s. Why do we have to learn this stuff from Indian new sources ?  We have irresponsible news sources here in this country singularly focused on one man.

China just keeps escalating tensions.   Chinese hackers have been targeting American universities,  pharmaceutical,  and other health care firms in a bid to steal intellectual property related to Corona virus treatments and vaccines.... once again,   our dear TV news media just chooses to ignore such  news.

In related China news, Trump is expected to announce on Friday an executive order requiring some medical goods made in the good 'old USA.... an_clap

China, I think in a way, booby trapped theirselves in a way.  They still have the mindset from years back when they stopped the Avian Flu more or less dead in its tracks.  They killed like 2 million chickens.  Think they say 60% fatality rate.  But the issue was the symptoms showed quickly and were very severe.  So, it was easy to identify and trace and isolate.  This coronavirus has less serious symptoms and sometimes folks do not even know they have it — and the fatality rate is so much lower.

Then they tried basically the same methods this time around.  But the initial quarantine ring was not big enough and they had to keep expanding it.  Then they thought they had squelched it somewhat.  But too many asymptomatic folks were outside and loose by then.

Not absolving then for lying.  But I think they thought they had done a better job and it got out of hand in a hurry — and they panicked and started lying.

All good points, Raider... this coronavirus behaves different than previous ones, but their lying, withholding of information, scrubbing of information on the internet,  prevention of others (WHO & CDC) in gathering facts about patient 0 & the Wuhan lab, and silencing/killing of critics, journalists, and Chinese medical professionals are all a bridge too far.  To me, these are all facts that can't be ignored, and it's good to see the "western world" starting to wake up to all this.  China and the CCP are vastly different under President Xi's leadership.. .   Whether they made a conscious effort to infect the rest of the world this time around by not stopping international flights is debatable.  To me , they made no effort to contain the virus in their own country, and simply chose to bring down the rest of the world with it..   We will probably never know the truth about this part, but all the previous points above are enough to hold them accountable with further tariffs, sanctions, etc.    This is all going to get very interesting... That much is for sure.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned that China is pursuing patents for the Giliead's remdesivir. So they have basically stolen and duplicated the drug in one of their labs and now they are applying for patents?????? Seriously, you can't make this stuff up.

China doesn't give a rats ass about anyone but China.

I didn't see that, but that  doesn't surprise me... These people of the CCP are desperate and despicable.

    Well....just a few more facts.

Fact #1: Gilead's drug remdesivir was actually in development in the months leading up to the February admission of the virus by China. The drug was in experimental phases as a developmental antiviral drug as part of their R&D program. So the drug, contrary to what people think, was well into development over a year before the virus hit.

So call this a victory for science in helping us prepare for outbreaks such as Covid-19. What is SHOCKING and DISTURBING, is that CHINA had illegally obtained and duplicated the drug as early as the fall of 2019. Even worse, China labs had applied for patents on the drug as early as JANUARY of 2020, well before the outbreak had the world in its grips.

    Again.....CHINA SUCKS.

    They can never be trusted.

    gamble,

Yeah China is the only country who conducts covert espionage operations...come on. The US is as dirty as China is if not likely more. Corporate espionage is commonplace, national espionage is as well. We have no idea what the US has done but no question we have done as bad or worse things than China ever has.

Wall... That position is a bit extreme comparing our espionage efforts to China's.   I don't see the U.S. ramming fishing vessels, threatening other countries w waterway rights, and building man made islands .  China has done all this ... and more.  You can't possibly defend China's position as it is threatening and intimidating to its lesser Asian countries.

It is good to see the U.S. is ramping up its freedom of navigation through the the S. China sea.

And corporate espionage  ? The lengths to which China has engaged in its hackhing of overseas companies is nothing short of egregious , and can't be compared to anything the western world has engaged in in recent memory.

    SAY WHAT??????

Maybe Wall would like to rethink his position on this issue?

Actually I would say what we have done is much worse than China, we have caused the deaths of thousands with our covert activities. You guys are seriously kidding yourself to think that the US isnt as bad or worse than any other country including China.

Our CIA and FBI ops are horrific, the things we have done for political gain are embarrassing AND the things we have not done for political gain, both ways.

It isnt anti-American to admit that our intelligence departments are crooked, underhanded and disgusting because they are and for sure no different than any other country to another.

I am not speaking about human rights issues and communist governments, I am speaking about country to country, spying and intelligence theft, deception and corruption. I have zero doubt we are the worst out there...including the USSR.

Wall. You have lost your mind. Instead of admitting how stupid these things you wrote were, you double down? Like that makes it more true???

You have already been quoted as having no idea what the USA may or may not have done, yet you continue to give ridiculous theories and conjecture on subjects you can't possibly know.

Enough already with this nonsense. Supporting China makes you look foolish.

    Supporting China?

I never did that...what I said is the US is as bad or worse and that is accurate. You are assuming things about what China did or didnt do and are acting like we are blameless and above such things and that is false. The fact is that all top tier countries spy on each other, steal from each other, deceive each other and take every opportunity to gain advantage in every possible way. If you think the US does not have labs where stuff like this goes on, again you are sadly mistaken.

Blindly blaming China for this is way off base and even if they did every single thing you are fed from the media we STILL did nothing even when we saw things unfolding in front of our faces...the leadership scoffed, minimized and made mistakes that harmed our citizens irregardless of who started it or who conspired to send it out. There are some states that took immediate action and made good choices and there are many that did not. Our federal government blew it completely and continue to blow it even now.

I am much more ticked off at how we handled this situation than if China tried to cover their tracks...we had solid intel and were being told this was serious way in advance yet Trump and his boys did not take it seriously and it cost us.

If our hands were clean and we had not done some horrific things in the past present and future maybe I might not feel this way but we have and will so pointing fingers seems hypocritical to me.

This is pointless. You do not work for the CIA and can not possibly know for a fact literally anything you speak of....but at least now everyone knows where you stand on the issue.

Yes, I think the CIA has and does awful things, same goes for the FBI and our military secret groups. Its part of the agenda we have and all countries have.

I am not sure what you have been ignoring with regard to our government but I think you are misguided thinking we are not as bad or worse than China.

Iraq alone, add Vietnam and Korea and many others, we are for sure as dirty as any other country.
