To me, large write-ups are pretty much useless... The author of the write up can write down any number of things to his favor, arguing his case towards the side of his choosing. Covers already has good tools available to allow people to form an educated decision on any and every game. Its all about results, results, results.

Check out Nostradamus in college football forum... He's been one of the most solid guys here, very informative, helpful and humble, and gives a few short sentences as to why he likes a certain side, along with his predicted score....that's all it takes

Well TideMan, you get the award for most misguided post in the thread (that has to do with capping).

Don’t tell you about labor pains...

Well the fact is Tide, there ARE labor pains to bring a human life into this world, there are labor pains suffered by the mother for hours on end, there ARE labor pains that, throughout 99% of human history resulted, many times in not only the death of the baby, but the mother too.

And after all that is said, you just want to see the baby.

Well aren’t you on some ivory tower giving orders when all the hard work is done behind the curtain, all the screaming and writhing in pain, and blood, while you calmly file your finger nails.

The fact is there is a TON of capping that goes on behind the scenes do a write up.

If it were about only a few sentences we’d all be filthy rich.

Have some standards. Because by what you just wrote, you are not a capper. Just someone who takes Bama today and Auburn tomorrow based on gut and feel and a few eye scans of sentences.

Much like deciding between Cheeze Itz and Pringles as a midnight snack.

I’ll say it again: expect more of yourself or you will not survive.

Thanks for anointing me with the most misguided post in the thread award....  I would like to thank all of the little people, like yourself,  who supported me, and helped me get to where I am now.

I never said that a person didn't have to, or shouldn't put time and effort in to capping a game... Only stating a fact, that if its attention that you are seeking, that giving out winners is all you have to do to get people to view your threads... They could give a rats azz whether you blindly draw them from a hat, throw darts, flip a coin, or get the answers from a magic 8 ball... No one really gives a damn about reading a 14 page essay. 

Oh, that's 2 good choices, but I'd have to go with pringles
