Most seasoned, unemotional sports bettors would rather lose in a blowout and know its a loss early in the game like Scals epic 42-0 halftime Lobos pick, than to experience the type of losses Scal had this past Saturday with Tracey Morgan or Princeton, sitting there praying to the tv in the fetal position hoping for a last minute coinflip to fall their way.
This is laughably untrue.
Most "unemotional" cappers are probably not going to sweat over every play or get too upset about how a game ends, but to say you'd rather be way off on your cap than just a little off is seriously a moronic thing to say. I know in the end a loss is a loss, but when analyzing WHY you lost I would say it's better knowing you are at least close to having the right play, not because it means you lose less, but because it could mean making better plays moving forward.
I mean, in a one hole golf playoff, would you rather lose by shanking one into the woods, or by lipping one out from 50 feet away?
If you had a cap on a tennis match you are seriously telling me you'd rather have your player lose 6-0/6-0/6-0, than lose in a last set tiebreaker?
If so, perhaps YOU need to work on emotionally detaching yourself from the games you wager on, because it sounds like maybe you can't handle it.
