I had no idea that members aren't allowed to post in a Covers Help thread if a sobbing, sniffling baby with soiled diapers is trying to snitch them out for something, no matter whether that "something" is real or perceived.  But I know the rule now.

Doesn't matter. Is the help section considered the main forums? Yes. Was he bashing in the help section? Yes. Is bashing allowed in the main forums? No.

UMF went to the help section like we tell people to do (or to PM us) if they have an issue. MrBator came in after and continued to post. UMF did NOT respond. If he bashed back, he would have been boxed too.

I hate to admit it but UMF did the right thing for once in his Covers lifetime.

If you guys want to go around calling each other rats, etc, then that's fine...but as you all know VERY WELL...that kind of thing belongs in the box, and CERTAINLY not the help section.

But do you see my point? MrBator got boxed and he basically shrugged it off. Then someone else created a thread to second-guess us and to presumably cause a shit disturbance (as per usual around here).

If someone REALLY wanted to know an answer to a question like "Why was MrBator boxed?" they could EASILY PM a mod. But that's not what happened and it's obvious to me why. And don't give me this whole, "I wanted to know and for everyone to see so I don't make the same mistake." That kind of response is bullshit.

There's only ONE reason why a thread like this is created.

Agree some are like that but not all. You know the difference. All I am saying is this boxing for posting in covers help is dumb. You need some thread telling people not to do it. Thats all I am saying. You are probably the biggest asset as a mod cuz you provide plays talk a little trash whatever but you have to realize that some boxing is ridiculous.

What I DO realize is that certain boxings won't always be agreed upon by everyone. But that's the way it will always be when you have authority vs non-authority.

I CERTAINLY don't always agree with a ref in a hockey game. Yet...even if I were able to contact the ref and say, "WTF?! Why did he get a penalty"?, I don't think he'd say, "You know what? You likely know better than I do, weeble. I'll reverse the call immediately."

I know people from the peanut gallery who post shit is not tolerated, but these 2 have a history with each other and then one guy reports the other and that should just be the end of it..? With no say so from the other member..?

When someone gets boxed, how about the mod who boxed them send them a P.M. on why they were boxed..? This way there wouldn't be 6,000 threads taking up space of people asking why they were boxed...

You DO realize that we usually DO PM people when they get boxed, right? Most of the time, the ones that we don't are the ones that likely should know why they were boxed in the first place.

Furthermore, 5,990 of those 6,000 threads you speak of are from people who WOULD know why they were boxed if they actually read the manifesto. Every forum has rules and it would behoove everyone to read them.

If someone wants to try to be some sort of martyr and flame out, then that's their prerogative. But let's be honest...guys go into certain threads just looking for trouble and then wonder why they're boxed.

Rule of thumb...if you think you'll get boxed for it, don't do it.

I agree...this is a public forum where things shouldn't be taken so personally. But this is just like high school where people act like pricks just to be a part of the cool gang.
