It goes without saying, BUT, another HUGE game tonight...this one will be very interesting to see how both teams respond from what took place on Tuesday night.
Now here's what I gathered in my personal assessment of Game 1 and what I expect to see tonight, we'll see how it plays out...
The Nuggets came out and shot the ball extremely well for the better part of 2-3 quarters, however, as the game went along it seemed the Lakers were figuring them out and in doing so were stopping them more and more as the game went along. When it got to the 4th quarter the Lakers really had the Nuggets locked down...now if the Lakers come out with the energy I expect them to, I would think we will see them defend the Nuggets for a much larger part of the game tonight.
Another thing, the Nuggets for the 1st half or so were very pesky, quick to the ball, very quick to get a hand in and tip balls away creating steals and bad possessions for the Lakers. Again, as the game went along it was as if the Lakers realized "damn, we need to take better care of the rock, these guys are quick!" So that's what it appeared they did, taking much better care of the ball in the 2nd half and especially in that tremendous 4th quarter.
Offensive rebounding... Although many like to say the Nuggets dominated inside and they also like to call the Lakers "soft"; the Lakers dominated on the glass on Tuesday night. The Lakers beat the Nuggets 46-37 overall on the boards (Gasol 14, Odom 8, Bynum 6, Bryant 6, Ariza 5), but, where I think the game was won was on the OFFENSIVE glass where the Lakers hauled in 17 offensive boards (Gasol 6, Bryant 3, Odom 2, Bynum 2, Ariza 2) to just 7 for the Nuggets (Anthony 2, Andersen 2).
I hit my BIG play in Game 1 with the UNDER 214.....I expect an even lower scoring game tonight, as I mentioned previously, I think both teams figured each other out more and more defensively as the game went along...I also believe both teams realize that the team that plays better defense will win this game. To top it off, the Nuggets shot an amazing % for most of the game on Tuesday and it STILL wend UNDER. Don't expect them to shoot that well again tonight...

Well, I'll start by congratulating the Denver Nuggets and their fans on a hard fought victory.
Ok, I'm not gonna rant, but, I am pissed. I'm disappointed with a few of the things at the end of the game...a few possessions down the stretch where guys not named Kobe were taking stupid shots. I'm especially pissed at Pau Gasol for that stupid fuckin' foul when the game was tied with just under 2 minutes left...for some unknown fucking reason he's trying to chase Chauncey Billups around and body him around 25-30 feet away from the basket. What the fuck is he doing that for? WHY??? You know the refs are whistle happy, why don't you just go guard your fuckin' man instead of running around like an ostrich trying to catch a chicken? Geez, I am so hot about that one fuckin' play...I don't get it, WHAT THE FUCK WAS HE THINKING???
Ok, that's enough...I gotta go cool off. Again, congrats to the Nuggets, their fans, and Nugget backers tonight. I hit with my UNDER and also hit UNDER 2H, but, I would've much rather had a Laker victory.
I'm already looking forward to Game 3 on Saturday night...I expect to see something very special from Kobe in that game, I know he's 10 times more pissed than I am right now...and I'm pretty fuckin' pissed!

That's what Carmelo's finally learned. You have to not want the ball. You have to not want to make every single shot. You have to WANT to be a team player. It doesn't just happen Kobe. You've got to want that instead of wanting the ball!
