koaj instead of reading economics 101 from 1968 update your
version to the 2008 edition
lets start with a very simple fundamental that you should
understand and lets use this crock of a stimulus package
if it is the top 3% of our economic sector that stimulates the
marketplace then why not save billions of dollars and simply
mail them the money instead- heck we could of given them alot
more than what was given- for one reason obviously i think
people would be killed in washington who made this decision but
on a more serious note the reason is this is not the people who
are going to take that money and put it back into the economy
which is what the purpose of this package was suppose to do and
to help- less money circulating through the economy leads to
a stagnant economy which leads to ..... well hopefully you know
the rest
as for this notion that the top 3% of our society is the ones who
generate jobs for our economy- again this is 2008 and not 1968
in the good ole days as my father likes to put it you joined a
company you worked for them the rest of your life and when you
retire you have a nice pension to live the rest of your days on this
earth- however that is not how we live today- corporations and the
top 3% as you put it now are looking at ways to ship jobs to
countries that will pay cents on the dollar that they would pay in
workers here- companies today are looking at cheaper and
cheaper ways of producing their products but not looking at
finding cheaper ways of selling it to the end user- which again is
fine if people are going to pay for it anyways then god bless them
for getting the price they do for it that is the free enterprise system
jobs of today are not being generated by the top 3% of our society
but the next few groups of people in that 97%- these are the
people of today who are now fueling the job markets in this country
if we were to rely on the top 3% of our economic society to
stimulate this marketplace through spending or job creation then
we are looking at complete and utter demise of our economic
society
to roll back the top tax cuts to the top 3% of our society will result
in minimal damage to no damage of this economy and the only
way we can start to turn this country around is to start working
on this 9 trillion dollar debt that is around our necks right now
if we do not start taking this problem as the number 1 issue
in regards to our nation then everything else that both of these
candidates have to offer will be mute
both candidates are going to see a rise in our national debt and
according to most economic experts at the end of the 4 year run
our national debt will grow higher under john mccain than it will
barack obama- that is why the dems winning this go around is
of the utmost importance to then hopefully refocus the gop to
get back to the fundamentals that will actually start to see us
turn around the mess we are facing right now- under both obama
and mccain that will not happen but at least under obama we will
have more attention being focussed on afghanistan a country that
truly is part of the war on terror and not iraq

He could even end up being a better president than Bush, I or II but that isnt saying much
i think it is pretty safe to say that the san diego chicken could
even end up being a better president than Bush II
both probably wouldnt win against decent competition but I side with Koaj that McCain is the better "choice" in this election.
i am not interested in the better "choice" this election i am more
interested in the better choice period and neither are the answer
to this question but my hope is when obama wins the republicans
finally relaunch themselves and get back to the fundamentals that
we need so that 4 years from now we actually can vote for the
candidate that is the best choice to turn our country back in the
direction it should be heading- mccain wont do that and mccain
will only cause another 4 years of the republicans continuing on
with the same drivel they are producing right now
people want "change" well then hopefully they will get it from
the republicans 4 years from now if they refocus who they are
short term pain for long term gain
but again at least we will focus more attention on pakistan
and afghanistan and not a country like iraq when we should of
not even been there to begin with
