Irrelevant, hutch.  No one says that there are not a lot of white qbs who have failed.  There are a lot of white and black DBs who have failed. Ditto CBs, LBs, DEs, Cs, OGs etc

Again,in any high profile, high earning profession there will be a lot more failures than successes. A lot more.  For every black or white singer that hits the big time, thousands of aspriants (as Amer Idol has shown) must go back to work at WalMart.

And, btw, hutch, ain't you the guy who posted here once that La Reconquista in California is just another wonderful example of "diversity."  Demand that your college give yu your money back for planting that in your head, in not too many years it could be dangerous to your health!  (Or are you safely ensconced in the Orange Gold Coast, Bev Hills, Palos Verdes Estates and other bastions of "white supremacy?"

i never understood how white people think it helps black people to ignore negative patterns or just call the person who points them out racist.  if i was a black athlete and had hopes of becoming a qb one day and i was faced with a history and a perception of black qb after black qb faikling to meet expectations, which option is best for me:

1. to have every ignore it and maintain the status quo

2. to call everyone who points out the obvious pattern racist and maintain the status quo

3. to explore the issue and see if it can be corrected.

why do white people invariably chose options 1 and/or 2.

How are you doing?  If I were to invite just one regular poster here to my old neighborhood on the Lower East Side for an egg cream and corned beef sandwich, it would be you. 

And I regret the teasing I did in some prior posts signoffs. Nothing rabid was meant by it. I know I come on as very opinionated - and I am on some topics - but I'm so committed to free speech that I have in the past taken a side I didn't really agree with but one that was unpopular, just to make a point. (not this time tho!  I am "liberal" on some issues, but this PCism on race is reminescent of the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland who can "believe 10 impossible things before lunch." Others here are interesting - be easy, too smart to be a pc hack, but very cautious. I don't concur with him on capitalism uncontrolled, but a rare 20s something with something to say.

hugh, tho we disagree, would be interesting to exchange ideas with. Good username for him, very civilized, very "english."   It could be like a timed chess match tho, each getting one minute no more to respond to the other's argument. (tho I'd probably cheat, hell I'm an American)

Five or six others - including the mod, koaj.  From Jersey (the only "New" state where you can leave off the New and it still sounds right (unlike, say, Hampshire) but so laconic that he should be from Vermont.  Disgree with him also about the capitalist lords of the manor being able to regulate themselves. (And would be surprised if it was koaj who shoved this thread into the bad boy room)

all the best to you.  i agree the heavy handed (although not always even handed) approach is a turnoff, but i'll stick around.  i used to live in California myself and often think of how i can get back there.  maybe some day.

And what is the purpose of your original post?  I can prove to you that the success rate of white and black QB's is about even given the numbers drafted. 

I'm a white male from a midwest state, BTW.  I just have a blatant dislike for morons.
