Absolutely. The GOP knows this and is unapologetic after crashing the economy in 2007 and 2020.

They’re too high on money from the big banks, big oil, and gunmakers money to give AF about the country.

Trump repealed most of the oversight provisions that were installed after the GOP’s 2007 recession. Can thank Mick Mulvaney for that, who is basically owned by payday lenders

Since US has one-winner-takes-all system, US minority government requires opposite party to control congress to act as check on president power.  In other countries with parliamentary system, minority government means that the governing party lacks enough seats to implement policy without support from other parties.

And now Mike Johnson, that little toady, is shutting down the House until September to stave off a vote on Epstein and to “avoid political games”. F—k you, you little worm. Donald won’t release the Epstein files because he’s protecting himself and/or people on whom he depends for cash and flattery----his fellow elites.

The Epstein scandal–the scandal being Donald’s protection of the files–proves that Donald was never fighting the Deep State…he WAS the Deep State! Worse yet Trump has succeeded in convincing close to 50% of the voters in the country that whether or not something is “legal” is irrelevant!

There are some weird fuckers in this administration.

Well, they won’t speak out against him, so it’s fair to assume that they are pro-Epstein at this point.

Timeline:

Pam Bondi says the Epstein list is on her desk.

Trump did direct the DOJ and FBI to flag any references to Trump.

Kash Patel has people working 24-hour shifts to go through 100,000 files.

Months later: Nothing exists! There is no list! And stop talking about Epstein!

Deep state indeed.

In a 2002 interview, Trump praised Epstein for his taste in women:

“He’s a lot of fun to be with! It is even said
that he likes beautiful women as much as I do,
and many of them are on the younger side!”  admin

he told New York magazine.

@fubah2

Since you quoted this, and since @Sidehatch created this theead, let's create a pseudo timeline.

In 2002, Trump said that he had been friends with Epstein for 15 years.

That puts us in and around 1987. Makes since. Both were part of the New York yuppie scene.

This would mean he would've known Trump in the waning days of his marriage to:

Ivana (Divorced 1990)

Marla Maples (Married 1993 - Divorced 1999)

and Melania but we'll get to her.

It should be noted that Trump keeps a woman. And they all have been of age. Ivana was a few years younger than Trump. Marla Maples was significantly younger but almost 30 when they started dating. 30 exactly when they married. Melania was in her early 30s when they started dating. Apparently Epstein introduced them. He didn't introduce him to some 19 year old. He introduced him to a grown woman, a hottie, over 30. Trump married her. Back to our timeline.

If Trump spoke that quote in 2002, what we know is that apparently they had a falling out in 2004. This was due to Trump feeling as if Epstein snaked him on a real estate deal, AND apparently recruiting Mar a Lago employees.

If any of you have actually followed this story, if you actually cared about the victims rather that slinging dirt at Trump, you would know that Epstein's reported illegal activities ramped up around the time Trump cut ties with him. The masages in Florida, after Trump cut ties. All the Epstein Island stuff, that was all after Trump cut ties. Trump isn’t on the flight records. There's no record of him ever stepping foot on that island. And he's never been implicated by a single victim, out of dozens. At last count, over 80. Let me repeat that. TRUMP HAS NEVER BEEN IMPLICATED BY A SINGLE VICTIM, OUT OF OVER 80!! He cut ties with the guy.

So let's revisit that statement. In 2002, Epstein was yet connected to underaged women. He was, however, known to keep young women around. Women in their late teens/early 20s. Trump, like any normal man, was noting that his homie likes him kinda young. He doesn't sound as if he approves. There's trepidation in his voice. He was already dating Melania at this point, who was 32.

TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

Trump's got a track record of dating/marrying baddies who were all very much of age but Democrats are trying to accuse him of raping haggard 50-somethings and connect him to Epstein kids. (Almost all of which are around. Just ask them if he participated.)

Democrats campaign by name calling. First they called Trump a racist. When that didn't stick, they called them a rapist. And if that wasn't terrible enough, and because nobody with two brain cells believes E.Jean Carroll, now the only thing they have left is to call him the worst possible thing. Democrats don't care about the victims. They just want to make Trump a monster.
