Love DC, grew up in Woodbridge VA right outside,
commute sucks, but you are not going to find a better paying town in America.
Some very nice places in arlington, alexandria, georgetown,
depends on how much money you are willing to spend I guess.
I will be moving back to the area within the next 5 years.
stay the F out of new york
San Diego is probably the best choice, but I could personally never live on the West Coast.
Same for Seattle, but have never been there.

San Diego-Cali has 12% UE-so that's out
New York-To me, it's a nice place to visit. But everything is so expensive, despite all the $20 Rolexes available.
DC-you must love commuting..........
My vote-by process of elimination, is Seattle. You want to get outta Nevada, nothing could be more opposite. As you mentioned, the rain. But, you can check out Canada; see if you like that. Snow skiing, water skiing, I think it's a great place.

ya bro, DC is the shit. Great job market, awesome city in terms of architecture/ layout, nice suburbs everywhere, and most importantly just a killer nite-life scene. All the clubs, lounges, bar districts you can ask for. Very culturally diverse, and other than July-August, the weather is phenomenal. Never gets too cold. It's been like 65-75 degrees every day for a solid month now. I love DC.

If I was your age, single and wanted to move to another area, I hear that Austin is booming and have tons of women and lots of partying. My uncle used to own property down there until he retired and sold out. He was never married and HE liked it pretty good down there. Washington is too crime filled especially counting all the criminal politicians. Seattle is too rainy. I hate the northeast. If work was not a problem San Diego has the best climate. California is not the good place to work it used to be. Austin would be my choice, I love that Texas drawl, too.

since a job is important on your list and not getting shot is also important, Seattle would be the choice, of course San Diego is the best place to live of those 4 choices, but Seattle is easily the 2nd best place, DC and New York City are places to visit, no way would I live in either of those places, I have been to all four places and I would say Seattle is the best choice for you

seattle has horrible weather. its cold, wet, and dreary most of the year. I lived in Portland OR for 4 months after graduating from college in san diego and the weather is just like seattle. Going to the northwest after living in the desert...no way you will be happy there. San Diego is beautiful but extremely expensive and crowded. go whereever you have visited and think you can get a job. moving now without having a job might be a bad choice. find a job, then move, unless you have 9 months that you could afford not being employed. also, finding a place to live when you are unemployed will be nearly impossible. now im getting depressed. move to Hawaii.

Venezuela numero uno, Peru or Colombia for some women and relaxation.
Then go to Seattle. I'll get ya the papers to move her in.
Rest of the cities are crap. Been to all of 'em many times.
DC has some legs but you'll get lost there in competition.
San diego...lol. Forget it. Big giant golf course with an ocean and the I5 freeway. A job there? C'mon now people.
Seattle is world class city all the way. Beatiful city, amazing women, fantastic night life and restaraunts, sporting paradise and diversity an culture through out.
Consider how many degenerates in here that have traveled and observed.
Bad weather and rain in Seattle....... please - rookie material.
New York, wonderful place. But no. ya need 7 figures to giddy up there and compete in that crowded mess..

Wow, thanks Search. You are a blessing to this forum.
I am seriously considering Seattle. I know it's cold and rainy but it seems like it's a great place. My biggest fear is moving without a job. I feel like I should find something. But staying here is no option. I have missed out on everything. I can't meet a decent woman who doesn't hook or is not on the rebound. I can't watch professional sports, casinos are taking my money nightly. San Diego would be nice, but damn, the jobs are scarce. New York, would be fantastic if I could make six figures. D.C is second on my list right now, I could do alot there. I want to marry an Eastern European girl. Lately, I have this Genghis Khan thing in my head where I just want to pregnate many women. I think that means its time to find a wife. I don't want to divorce and pet my kids as if its a petting zoo though. I need a professional woman. Done with ho's. You are the man. Would you recommend getting the job lined up first? Or just say fuck it, and move?

why not try to get a job first then look at each option such as pay,cost of living, cost of housing,quality of life,entainament value and of course can you get laid.
then you can look at each value then DECIDE
oh by the way jobs are hard as hell to get in this economy
maybe harder to get a job then get laid

A big factor in your decision should be tax rates ... all the States you mentioned are high tax rates !!! My career ( retired now ) took me to California, Nevada, Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Michigan and Kentucky ... without question Texas would be my pick of those ... if you are a conservative Republican and like the thought of picking up a chick at a rodeo all the better !!! I'll tell you one thing; if you move without a job, I bet your job search WILL BE INTENSE. It might make you try harder, but I for one, wouldn't do it. (Disclaimer-I did just that back in the early 80s-moved to Houston without a job lined up)
This is just like gambling. You got to check all the angles. Check out housing, transportation, jobs (duh), etc.
I'll tell you one thing. You want Eastern Euro, you'll have to move East (funny how that works out). Seattle has a very high Pacific Rim content. Vancouver, in BC, is 40%, for some reason. I have no problem with ANY makeup, but if Eastern Euro is a priority......

People keep referring to the commute...what commute. You take the train into work and the train back home. The train system is as easy as 1,2,3. If you take the beltway into work its like any other city. Their will be conjestion. Vaughn K tell us stories about those RICH girls from Up State NY and Conneticut that attend Maryland University in college park. They're all over the place. Make sure you hit Tony and Joes outside bar and grill off the potomic in Georgetown Saturday and Sunday evening. Its the booooooooomb.
