The girl with the sword and the zombies on chains is not the governor.
Apparently she is one of the best characters in the comics, so I read in an article.

I'm not even convinced that walkers would stop at water. The dude that hung himself, and then got eaten and turned, was still trying to get at Darryl from the tree, so obviously they don't need oxygen. They would just trudge thought it, and pile themselves up high enough to get in....
Lets not forget though, we are arguing the realism of a show based on zombies......
