Bercovici has better arm strength but even worse decision making. It'd probably be a wash.

Since this league is centrally owned, they should trade players at key positions to make other teams better. For example, there's much better QB's on the depth charts of other teams who could immediately start for a team like San Diego.

And there's other teams who have good depth at WR and RB who could be traded to other teams lacking at those positions.

The goal of the league should be to make sure that all of the best players are getting chances to start and get the most minutes possible.

Does it really matter which team these guys play for since the ultimate goal is to get some of these players into the NFL? The NFL could pay a transfer fee to the AAF in these instances which would be a great incentive for the AAF to succeed.

Legends take the lead again 12-9 heading to the 4th Qtr. What a game this has been!

These illegal defense penalties are such a bad look for this league, they need to get rid of them. 15 yds and an automatic 1st down for something that's never shown on replay or explained.

San Diego cashes in for the TD after the huge penalty but misses the 2. Still just a FG game after missing the 2.

Another huge 15 yd penalty called on Atlanta when San Diego would've been facing 3rd and very long. Now San Diego getting ready to score again.

Another TD for San Diego followed by another missed 2.

21-12 landing right on the spread now.

4th and 13 with 2 mins left and Atlanta going to punt? Hah! I think their coach got +9.5 early?

Now the only question left is.. Will Martz kick a FG on 4th down for the cover or just go for it?

Oh wow he went for the FG and it barely snuck through the left upright! Hah!

They were up 9 at the time which is 2 scores, most coaches would've just called a running play on 4th down there with 30 seconds left.

Thank you for the 3-1 on this game Twilo. I thought for sure we were going to push on the -9 but thankfully he kicked the FG at the end. I still can't believe he kicked it.

Thank you for the 3-1 on this game Twilo. I thought for sure we were going to push on the -9 but thankfully he kicked the FG at the end. I still can't believe he kicked it.

They were up 9 at the time which is 2 scores, most coaches would've just called a running play on 4th down there with 30 seconds left.

A - Give your kicker some practice.

B - There are some playoff tie breaker scenarios in the NFL where point differential is a factor, might be the same in AAF.

C - Probably knows the spread and probably know some people in the stands have some money on the game, hook em up with a cover.

It's not whether you win or lose, that counts it's whether you cover the spread....   ~ Grantland Vice....

You're right, once you're up 2 scores with that little time left and that deep into enemy territory, you just call a vanilla running play up the gut on 4th down and give the other team the ball back to drive the entire field.

Now.. If they were only up by 8 for example (or less) in that situation, then of course you kick the FG. But up by 9 it doesn't really make sense to kick it.

Sharp thinking NB. And yeah, no way in hell Martz thought of that as a possible angle. I think he was just giving the crowd the cover like Kemp said.

Home teams are now 6-2 SU and ATS

Favorites are now 8-0 SU and 6-2 ATS

    Unders are now 6-2

Two nasty frontdoor covers by the Sunday favorites which the books needed after majority money was on the dogs.

Also this is a developmental league. Calling a give up running play doesn't really develop anything, it does risk one of your players getting injured. A FG is good practice for your long snapper, holder, kicker and has far less risk of anyone getting injured.

I don't really care about any of that though, but thanks for the cover Martz! an_cheers

Yeah, getting more reps in for the special teams is a fair point too.
