his game is tomorrow night but I am grabbing it now. Joke of a line if you ask me.. The Boomers still missing some key players and the Spirit have not looked good lately but that is a massive line to cover on the road and especially after the Spirit's coach has basically said if they do not give it their 100% tomorrow night, there will be some drastic changes to the starting five.
Melbourne Boomers @ Bendigo Spirit: Spirit +9.5

As D-Play mentioned on his thread, the line is now down to -9.5 with William Hill and they are one of my books so I will glady take this line because the other 3 books I use have -10.5 and -11.5 (TAB). Matt Knight is out but thats ok, Cooke Jnr comes into the squad and he will want to impress against a Kings team lacking size. Then you have Martin all over Cadee and Tokoto just being Tokoto. Guy is a beast and there is nothing better than seeing a full capacity stadium on Friday night in Perth in Australian Basketball.
Sydney Kings @ Perth Wildcats: Wildcats -9.5

Aussie just one question.Your thougts about tomorrowe United game? line is small, too small I think. only -2.5
That is a very strange line considering the 36ers are just coming off a game against NZ and then had to fly to Melbourne and only get 1 days rest. Melbourne were laying that much in Adelaide both times they played each other in Adelaide so that line is very strange. Not sure of any injuries at all but very suspect line.

Love it when the Aussie books do this.. They played each other on Thursday night, Sydney won 81-62 (143 points) and the total has not moved. The total for that game was also 148.5 but we saw an absolute horror 1Q from the Capitals in which they only scored 9 points and the 1Q hit just 31 points. Both teams pushed the tempo on Thursday night, with Canberra taking 71 shots and Sydney 70 yet they still couldn't get over the 148.5 mark. The biggest key for me is, on Thursday the teams COMBINED went just 11-43 three pointers, just over 25%. Horrible 3 point shooting. For me, that will be the difference in this game. Expect better shooting from both sides and this being the Capitals 5th game in 12 days I cannot back them ATS but they are needing a win big time and the only way to do that is to score so I expect a big effort from them in this game tomorrow.
Sydney Uni Flames @ Canberra Capitals: Over 148.5

Very low total for the NBL considering what we have seen so far but after their woeful offensive struggles, the Taipans are needing points. Shut down on Thursday night by Melbourne and only hitting the mid 60's but its been known for a while that Taipans arent very good on the road. Different story at home. The last meeting this year saw a 82-71 victory for Cairns in NZ and that was a high scoring 1H (82 points) and then 2H died down (71 points). Much like Cairns last home game vs the 36ers. They came out and scored just 38 points in that 2H but that 38 points was thanks to a few fouls at the end of the game and some lucky shots. They put up 11 points in the 3Q and thats when the 36ers took over. NZ on the other hand are just scoring at will with Sosa, Newbill and Abercrombie. I expect this game to be very physical as well, so plenty of fouls I believe and they will obviously help with some extra points..
NZ Breakers @ Cairns Taipans: Over 160.5

Thanks again. The line on Bendigo already smaller but I dont know what if Laney will play
Try sportsbet Kriscar, still at +9.5 and Crownbet has it at +8.5 now..
Laney is playing but on minute restrictions. Boomers apparently are going to see if O'Hea can play also. I just have to take the home dog in this game after reading this article.
Plus, some revenge from their earlier 90-63 loss to Melbourne in Melbourne 3 weeks ago.

This is in the bag Kriscar... The Spirit showed up big time tonight and the Boomers did not look good at all. No way should they be laying -9 on the road against any team until they get their full roster back...
Just need to scoring to pick up a bit in the Cairns/NZ game to be 6-0 on the round..
Gotta ask Kriscar, where are you located? You get some good info on the WNBL games mate

The thing I love about these leagues is that its over 4-5 days... Tomorrow we have some big games.. Kings at home to the Hawks in the NBL to close out the weekend and then we have Townsville Fire hosting Adelaide in the WNBL and then Monday night we have the Boomers hosting the Rangers in the WNBL. Plenty more action coming our way..
Just saw the score, the Boomers might steal victory in the final seconds of this game...

Thats what I love about covers. Connects people from all over the world. I would love to visit Riga and Latvia one day. I actually might be traveling over there next year

Kings favourites? Reckon I could beat them on my own right now
Maybe not on their court though......
Tough call.. Kings looked useless vs Perth on Friday night but thats Perth for you. Best coach and disciplined like San Antonio Spurs. Hawks different story. With the Kings coming off an "under" game vs Perth, you would think they would want to score against the Hawks coming off a road dog win which doesn't happen often for Illwarra.

Thats was brutal.. I am sure he got it off in time yet they said he didn't get it off in time.. That would have forced OT and the over would have cashed.. Unbelievable ending to that game.. I am sure coach Fearne will be even more p!ssed off after that game...
5-1 on the weekend so far.. Moving on.. Thats all we can do..
