It has been rubbish captaincy from Ponting.

Cook is a patient batsman. He is not going to fall into the trap of a hook shot. He tried that for hours, yet it didn't work, he just spooned it off for easy singles. They should have found and tried to execute a different way.

Both great batters, but couldnt do shit to halt the momentum of there slumping sides

not sure, I read that it was supposed to rain this afternoon.

one session down, 5 to go.

Hopefully it flogs down at about 3pm

Shane Watson must be the greatest scorer of half centuries in the history of cricket

Can't be too critical of him given he is the only consistent bat in this Aussie lineup but geez he really needs to convert these starts in big centuries like Cook and Strauss.
