yes, it was disturbing, looked more like he was being arrested

Maybe they ran out of blankets, or they were in a hurry trying to rescue survivors... don't know...

A horrible day for all of us who love hockey. I remember as a boy watching McCrimmen as a member of the B's. When I heard the news...I literally got a horrible chill through my body and every hair was standing on end.

Prayers to all the families affected by this tragedy.

Yes, there are two that have survived.

One of the crew members (15% Burned / Scorch) and Galimov (90% burns / Scorch).

Been thinking about this all day and it has truly bothered me. Demitra was one of my favorite players, Slovakian captain, have a jersey signed by him. Still can't believe this happened, such a tragic event. 


God bless the families and friends of the people who lost their lives, rest in peace

Very Sad incident... There are many names that pop out to me but none more than McCrimmon who played with the Flyers during the 80's. I've had a rough summer... almost cried when I heard this news about the crash and all the names of the players who are believed to have been killed. Just friggin sad.

This thread really shows us the heart and true kinship of the international hockey community... I am struck by the powerful reactions expressed by so many in here.  There is simply no way to sugarcoat a sickening even like this one.  Hang in there boys, and be thankful.  Life is fleeting.

I am deeply saddened by the news. It was the first thing I saw when I woke up today...just horrific.

So many of these players were incredibly young too!

I can't look at those pictures though...I will get depressed.
