Sorry i have been out all day but I am glad STL came through. The price I got from Pinnacle was -115 (1.86). It got hammered as game time approached I see. Hopefully everyone locked it in early as I recommended.

I am only posting what I think are my best picks of the night as requested by multiple people who bet parlays. If you cannot afford to bet them and don't have the bankroll to absorb the variance, than pass.

Games like today are the reason you should only check the scores after the game has finished.
much easier for your state of mind.
those emotional highs and lows you get during the game are not needed when you add in the emotional highs and lows of the season on the whole.
just curious sharp, do you suppourt any teams? And if so does it affect your capping?
I decided a long time ago to not suppourt or go for any teams so as not to affect my betting.

Helloooo...didn't someone say take the St Louis Blues last night @ -115... oh, that's right, it was you Sharp, appreciate you posting 'another' WIN (#54) staying perpetually positive at +6.78 units; after further review, I see that their has not been one day since this threads conception by which it has operated on the minus side of the unit count, not once! But what I have seen is a thread that has gone 54-62 so far, and is up $678. Now you clueless lames, making clueless commentary, with ludicrous insight, bordering on retardation post's, connected to a bipolarism attitude, figure it out, (how a capper can lose 8 games more than he has won, and be up six units>value+MM)....go outside and play. this thread is beyond your comprehension, to say the least, justified criticism is one thing, un debatable ignorance is another, if you are unable to pick, and choose, have no idea how the NHL works, and are brain dead to MM technique, handicapping methodology, then simply avoid yourself the embarrassment of posting nothing more than trash talk,  go somewhere else, your taking up valuable space

hey man, just saw that you were considering not posting for a while and hope its not the case. dont take the people that are critizing you seriously there a joke, there the type of people who either never win or are jealous of you.at the end of the day the only thing that matters is your up for the year. even the best gamblers have bad days weeks people dont get that.

Russ if your putting PHI in a parlay, definitely do the ML. I love the PHI PL play, but as you can see in my parlay, I put ML to increase the overall chance of the parlay winning.

If u had to put a three teamer Pl parlay in who would u go with I'm currently 3-10 on my pl parlays they r great payouts I've been lucky I always put a few in for kicks but would love ur input Gen? The way I c it it usually pays anywhere depending on odds anywhere from 25-1 to 30-1,it definitely can b worth it

Well parlays are tricky. I try to be conservative and stick to the ML. PL is great value though, so you could try and round robin 3 puck lines. So bet $30 per double (3) and $10 on all 3. That way, you win profit with 2/3 and hit big with 3/3. 

95% of my bets are singles, but I do play parlays once in a while if I really love a few selections.

parlays are fun, their inclusion to the thread was a nice innovation, soon they may become beneficial to those that are chasing them...most likely sooner than later, the best to your quest on the 3 teamer, tonights looks solid as a three play can get, I think I'll play it  why not?

General what's your opinion on those who bet, lets say, an hour or two before the game starts? Since most of the time, odds will drop till then. Should we still bet them or are there some cases when there's no more value in certain picks?

And does it happen that you change your mind later on about some play you made earlier? I can see Calgary for example, odds on ML raised from 2.38 to 2.47. What i wanted to ask is, are there some news about certain game that makes odds higher since you made your plays or that's just a reflection of bets made by public, where most of the money goes on, for example, Montreal ML, so it automatically raises odds on Calgary ML?

Will appreciate any answer!

Thanks for the info Gen, I have a 6team parlay, half a unit that pays 17 units, started with Indy last night and 5 open spots. My bookie changed his parlays to not include any ML in 4+ team parlays and limited the dogs to one or two. It is a friend of mine and he keeps the books for a few of us and he didn't want to have to worry about paying out 1k or more on a 20 to 50 dollar parlay. So they limited it to a 50 max and the number of dogs and ML etc. I put NO (nba) - 4 in there for today and was thinking about that PL because as someone else said it does pay out good with a few dogs in there.
