PHL -133 *two units* Carter Hutton on the road with a .892 Save% and 3.65 GAA. Had they started Ullmark I may have gone with the under here as he’s been much better than Hutton over a long stretch now. Carter Hart at home has been a stud going 9-1-2 with a .944 Save% and 1.57 GAA

Win -155 Winnipeg hasn’t lost back-to-back games since they fell to 4-5-0 on the season. Since, they are on a 16-7-2 run. Lehner has been susceptible over his last 5 starts giving up at least 3 goals in each and Chicago played last night and have lost their last 3 road games. Expecting a focused Hellebuyck after his last outing a bounce back on home ice for the Jets here.

WASH -1/2 -145 Thought about skipping this altogether as Washington has a look ahead game coming up next against Tampa Bay but at the same time they’re coming off a loss so I’d expect them to push hard for a win so they don’t go into the Tampa game with a chance of a 2-game losing streak starting to snowball on them. Plus, the talent disparity is just so big here, especially after the Hall trade.
PIT -115 Thought due to Pittsburgh’s splits we’d get some dog money here but their slight favorites but they’re playing better than Edmonton now and the goal-tending sides with the Pens here as well.

Few regrets about tonight and missed opportunity. I was on the fence about FLA or the under. Figured with Dallas coming off the Tampa win they could have a big let down here but I figured with Bishop in net, if anything, we could see a low scoring Florida win so went with what I perceived as the safer bet. Also almost went two units on WASH but didn't want to try and hit home runs and decided to chip away. Overall, its a building block going forward. I'll take it.

NYI -1/2 -130 I always feel like the third game of a cross country 4-game road trip is the toughest for teams. Its not the final game where they might be up a bit knowing it’s the last game before heading home and its not the first where you want to come out with energy after traveling to make a statement. It’s the third, slogged down already a few games in but not quite over. Ducks play this situation on the East Coast in Barclays against an Isles team that has not lost back-to-back on home ice all season and they were embarrassed their last time out in front of their fans so I’d expect some big effort from them. Ducks have only won 5 of their last 20 games going 5-11-4 overall.
CLB -1/2 -130 Regardless of parity in today’s NHL—any team as they say can beat any team on any given night—these Devils are a glorified AHL team at best. They’ve lost Taylor Hall and have stumbled to a 2-7-1 mark over their last 10 and they come off a 6-3 los just last night to the rival Caps, hopped on a plane and flew to Columbus to play a young BlueJackets squad that was mired in a slump, were ripped by their head coach for a lack of effort and have since bounced back from the criticism with a 3-game win streak. Korpisalo is part of the turnaround as he’s playing to a .925 Save% and 2.08 GAA in the month of December.
TOR -1 ½ -115 Ok, so since the coaching change, The Leafs have gone 2-1 on home ice and 7-3 on the road for a combined 9-4 mark. They beat the Wings 6-0 a few weeks back during that post-coaching change road trip and the offense has been solid scoring 26 as they’ve won 5 of their last 6 overall (4.33). I see this final score being similar to last nights game against my Blueshirts.
DET/TOR over 6 ½ -135 Line moved from +105 at 4am to this…lame. Hutchinson is confirmed and over his six starts this season he has allowed 5,4,4,5,5 & 5 goals! Wow. Bernier has allowed 3 or more goals in 9 of his last 11 starts. Just can’t see this game staying under the total here.
TB/WASH over 6 ½ -110 Washington plays 12-3-1 to the over on home ice. That means the under only loses 19% of the time or if percentages don’t do it for you, they hit the over 3 out of every 4 games. Tampa’s last 3 have all gone over the total and these two have played each other twice thus far this season with scores of 4-3 and 5-2 both hitting the over mark.
