Why not? The Patriots beat your #8 team 59-0. I doubt the Titans could have scored 60 even with Vince Young at QB.

I don't have a problem with this based on current record and what not.  You do need to include NE though over at a minimum Green Bay and Tennessee.  I also think that PHI should be considered as they will make their usual run right about now.  BOL!

    1) Vikings

    2) Saints

    3) Colts

no other team in the league has a shot in hell of winning the SB with these 3 teams in it... they are miles ahead of everyone... and are pretty much interchangeable in their order, but i think the Vikes are the most well-rounded, and clearly have the best defense...

How can you NOT put the Chargers as a legit 4 team, not too far from the Colts.  Who can stop their offense right now?  And their defense is playing much better.    Chargers have beaten the Colts in the playoffs the two past seasons.  I doubt the Colts want to see the Chargers in the playoffs.

Totally agree the Chargers are the real deal, I can say this your QB showed me something the year you played NE in the playoffs. Phillip looked like it hurt him to just walk, but he showed a lot of heart in that game, unlike LT that season.

that's a list i can generally agree with... although (even though i'm not a Steelers fan by any stretch), i don't think you can put them behind the Packers... Pitt is a legit SB contender when healthy... the Packers are not... i wouldn't give them a shot in hell of making it thru the NFC playoffs this year... Rodgers is too inconsistent, their running game is really struggling, and their defense has games where they just get shredded to pieces... that team isn't for real... Pitt is at least a team that strikes some fear into the top teams in the league...

Good point ice4blood. I think steelers have a shot because they're always good come playoff, they were wildcard under cowher and won SB.. I dont think steelers fear anybody and like tomlin says "unleash hell in dec", I believe raiders will get creamed..

i think the oddsmakers would be the first to tell you that you can't have a top 8 list in the NFL without the Cards, if they are healthy...

    for whatever that's worth...

These are the words of somebody who only knows what buddies in grade school are telling him and should not be posting on covers....

Alright lets get with the facts buddy.

There are four teams that can win the superbowl this year, San Diego, Vikings, Colts and NO in no particular order. Heres my write-up guys

Since this donk obviously doesn't know about team's performances come crunch time, I'll start with SD. ESPN posted a stat during the SD KC game highlighting teams records during the 2nd half of seasons. SD over the last 6 years, has the best record come the 2nd half of the year. They are an amazing 42-5, they placed ahead of the Steelers, Pats, and Colts. Besides 2006 when they were 14-2, the other 5 years they had began the season with loosing records every year, only to finish atop their division.

Now lets recap the last meetings between the colts and chargers. 3 years ago, it was the chargers who went into Indi, snapping their 13-0 record. 2 years ago who beat the colts in the playoffs???? last year who beat the colts in the playoffs????

And the Steelers and Pats are not power-houses this year to stop the above 4 teams.

New Orleans goes in a category of scoring more then anybody. New Orleans O has been tested over and over, and simply put, has proven themselves virtually unstoppable.

Peyton Manning - Wayne is my entire write-up for the Colts.

SD and Viking are more balanced teams. As we know, Chargers had 7 injuries on defence to begin the year, pro-bowlers Hartwick and Castillo are still out, Hartwick returning next week to my knowledge.

Vikings are probably the most balanced team in the NFL now. There is not one weakness about this team I could identify.

Conclusion: Who can stop any of these teams O's. Usually they say D wins the super bowl, I'm going to beg to differ this year.

Since everyone made a list, I guess I'll have to follow the threads procedure....

    1) NO

    - Simply put, Brees could not be stopped with SD, and brought a NO team with some good players (At the time 2 years ago) along with their new pickups like Bush to being the most unstoppable O the NFL has probably seen since the Warner-Faulk Rams of '99.

    2) Vikings - The most balanced team in NFL right now. Period.

    3) Chargers - With the mighty D's of Pitt and NE not around, who's going to stop this O. Pin-Point Rivers passing to three 6'5' receivers: Gates, Jackson and Floyd?!?!?!? Sproles really stepping up, and LT has even been performing like the old days the last few games. The Chargers D is playing well too.

    4) Colts- Peyton's O is a wrecking force not to mess with. However my reasoning for placing them 4th. Colts secondary won't stand a chance against Brees and Rivers. Viking will put up numbers too. The above 3 have defences good enough to make stops.

    Possible contenders, if any:

Pats - Brady, Welker, Mulroney and Moss is my write-up. Their D is simply to weak however.

Arizona - They are the same team that made it to the super bowl last year. If Warner stays healthy, with his set of receivers, this is the best passing game in the NFL.

Steelers - Come crunch time, they dont let down.

Pretenders - GB and Cowboys and Eagles. They are good, but wait till they play the above mentioned teams lol...
