Where is DeAndre Hopkins going to end up?

He's made a ton of money over the last several years and I'm not sure what his motivation is at this point in his career - is he trying to get one last huge contract, or is he trying to get a ring?

If he's trying to get a ring and willing to take a pretty big pay cut, he could go to the Chiefs or Eagles.  Some people are saying he's pretty good friends with Lamar Jackson, but if he goes to BAL, I say he's probably not going to get paid or get a ring.  Hopkins obviously has some history with Deshaun Watson, so maybe he ends up in Cleveland for a big check?  Some people have also mentioned Denver or NE.  One thing to keep in mind, the guy was born and raised in South Carolina, went to Clemson, and then played for the Texans and the Cardinals - all warm weather areas.  Maybe he doesn't want to go to a team located in a cold weather area?  I could see him ending up in Jacksonville, or maybe he wants to come closer to home and play for Atlanta or Charlotte.

Longshot that he ends up in Bmore would've been great if we didn't already draft Zay Flowers and sounds like they're giving Rashod Bateman a vote of confidence. Wouldn't surprise me if it's Chiefs... Or Bills 

It seems his biggest ask is a great Def. which is an unusual ask for an Off. player looking to join a team.

Well if that's the case + he does not mind playing for a great QB either the Jets sound like a nice landing spot.

I don't know the Jets cap situation (although any team these days seems to kick the can down the road with creative moves) + Hopkins is not hurting for $ so he will accept almost any offer if its THE team he wants so ya the Jets.

They seemed poised to make run in the AFC + if they land Hopkins that talk will only get louder.

That's a good point. I'm actually surprised we haven't seen an epidemic of great players just quit. I mean how much money do they need. Unless there is a spooky element lol. Maybe something like they signed their _________ away

I know he doesn’t have his eyes on Jacksonville, but that struck me as a perfect location for him to land.

Hopkins best years are over. I mean who cares? Any team that pays him big money are suckers. Youth will be served. Hit the road Grandpa. 

Heard that Bills and Chiefs were the only 2 teams showing a real interest.

The Chargers receivers are always hurt. Hopkins fits the Chargers receiver’s blueprint. Tall and fast without good route running, plus always hurt. The Chargers will start the season with 3 greats receivers and will be down to one healthy receiver by the end of September. 

I read an article yesterday that said some book was offering odds on where he would end up.  DAL was at 8-1, BAL was 12-1 and CLE was 16-1.

Great Player no matter what..if he goes to right team,  watch out.. 

If I'm ANY contender trying to get over Hump,  I'm all in....Jets, Bills, Jax, Broncos, Chargers in Afc..multiple Nfc landing spots too,  Lions, Boyz, Giants, Eagles...... 

This cat is a Game changer..like Tyreek, Diggs. Jefferson,  Chase,... I  hope he finds the Best Fit for him..

Cleveland makes some sense to me. They'd be willing to fork more money for Hopkins and get to play with Watson again but Hopkins said he want stability? Good luck finding that in Cleveland..

But if he wants to win a ring it wouldn't surprise me if the Chiefs end up getting him..

He probably is asking for OBJ kind of money and it's not likely that many teams are willing.

Football Outsiders ranked him a dreadful #70 by DYAR.  Money may not be the only reason ARZ released him. 

He only played a combined 19 games the last two seasons.  According to Statistica.com, the average career length for NFL WR's is 2.81 years.

DAH has played 10 years and is on the downside of his career.  IMHO any team that signs him will be overpaying him.

Without a doubt. Whats interesting is that OBJ deal with the Ravens may have helped nuked Hopkins from joining playoff competitors Chiefs and Bills they dont want to pay 15 mil or more per year for him 

I would take him @ 7' mill over the 15 the Ravens doled out for OBJ. IMO the Ravens did not simply over pay him,they vastly over paid him.

They did overpay, I'm not gonna sit here and pretend we got a good deal out of it lol. But we also inadvertently kept D Hop from going to a top playoff competitor if the latest rumors are correct. Seems like the trade off may be worth it but this will be fun going against DHop twice.. Browns could give us a battle this season lol

I am predicting CLV gets 8 or 9 wins this year, right around the 8.5 regular season wins line (RSWL) at Heritage.  Watson was horrible last season - his rating (79.1) and QBR (38.3) were career worsts by far.  With more time to work with his receivers he could improve this season, but CLV's OFF line really deteriorated last season.  It finished 14th in run blocking and 11th in pass protection which does not bode well for this season.

Whether CLV will give BAL "a battle this season" remains to be seen.  I line up with Heritage's RSWL's and make CIN (11.5) the favorite over BAL (9.5).  CLV and PIT (8.5) are predicted to fight it out for 3rd and 4th in the AFC North.

i know he did last season the upper body he put on some more pounds, guess it didnt help him from getting injured lol!

time to work on those lower legs

That's pushing it... calling the Broncos a contender.

It's always hilarious when people enter into a new season assuming that the two teams in the Super Bowl last year will be the front-runners for the Super Bowl the next year.  When was the last time the same two teams faced off in the Super Bowl in back-to-back years?  Bills / Cowboys, back in the 90s?

As I always say... most people can't think beyond the reasoning that whatever happened yesterday is what will most likely happen tomorrow.

Eagles won't be back. Chiefs maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it.
