What is the best way to see where the public money is?

What sources do you guys use to see where the bets are going? I've always used Covers but there has got to be better sources.

Best place is the public area.. or ask your friend and family who they like and that’s the real public, more accurate than these BS site

Just stand by the ticket window pretending you're looking at the board of games

Kicked the hornets nest on this one.  There are many views on this and places to get some kind of info.  Pick one and test it out to see if it works for you.  I used to like sportsbook review, but they changed what I am able to see due to location.

If you have time and can afford to wait till near game time, you should keep reading Covers.com NFL Betting Forum and see if you can detect an overwhelming number of people favoring one side.  That side is usually a loser, but not always.  For example, tonight's game at Tampa Bay brought out many posters favoring Giants with more than 10 points.  There a few posters, who like Tampa Bay to cover the large number.  From my observation Tampa Bay is likely to disappoint the large majority of bettors.  We'll see.

 I think this is true but in a much different way. I've found covers to be blindly contrarian. Similar to the public being blindly behind the favorite. 

Fascinated by everyones post that this information is very difficult to find in any meaningful sense.

 Let us know when you can find any data that will benefit you over the long haul. If someone has it, they ain't talkin!

I think it's a combination of things to find the answer where the public is. I read a lot on Covers forum, follow Pickwatch, use Action Network data, PFF data, follow different websites where they publish opinions/picks....and all that together makes me decide if the public is overwhelming on one side of not. So yes, it can be found IMO.

So when people peruse covers for "public bet %", it creates a conundrum. 

Seeing that most are saying you wont get your hands on much reliable data, I would suggest monitoring the lines throughout the day. It wont always paint you a clear picture but it can give you insight into which way the public money is going.
