Honestly very happy about tournament but record should be better. Rough loss with Panama yesterday was made up for by the miracle goal by Colombia. Not going to even start with some of the other teams that have put up doughnuts but I'll fade them later in the tournament.
Today's game is very interesting, at least the first game, as I am guessing the entire world will be on the Czechs. One of the main reasons will be the way South Africa looked in their maiden game against Mexico, the co-hosts, in the first game played in Mexico City. I think that would be a tall task for any team, especially the South Africans who appeared to be sluggish. But that's only because the Mexicans had a huge fan base and exhilaration behind them and they came out and scored early, pretty much putting the South Africans to bed.
That will not happen today. Be careful, the Czechs have won just one of their last seven matchday two fixtures at the World Cup (D2, L4) and that is not a good omen against. a South African team that will have zero pressure on them and be clear underdogs. True, the South Africans are missing two starting midfielders but they are big in the back and the Czechs seem to score only on headers as seven of their last 14 World Cup goals now came that way.
Lastly, the Czech Republic’s last six matches have averaged four goals per game and none of South Africa’s ten matches at the World Cup have ended goalless.. I do not see the South Africans again putting up a zero, and I think too many people think things are super obvious in this one. We all know what happens when the public thinks this way. These are maybe not the plays everyone wants to see, but it's what I will be on:
SOUTH AFRICA +1/2 (-105)....BIG PLAY!!!
YES BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-105)
The line is moving down and I also took a draw at +250. I would have made that an official play but the spread is much more interesting as it also cashes if the South Africans win and repeat the Czechs paltry showings in the second games of tournaments.
I'll be out for a lot of the day so not sure I can post as much today but I'll try to do it if it helps people. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...
