Week 2 turned out to be very lucrative. Haven't received the final numbers yet, but a nice profit was turned. I won the battle in week 2 and now the war continues to go on.......
TOPIC: I have read so much this week regarding line shopping and juice. One of the first things I learned was that good numbers and lower juice equal a higher winning %. That is pretty obvious right? If so then how come people consistently get bad numbers? Every person who gambles should ask themselves if they are doing this for entertainment or for money. If you are doing it for money then you must shop for good numbers. Key numbers are 3,4, and 7. Last night in the Browns game most people were getting 6 or 6.5. If Romeo goes for it on 4th and 7 and was unsuccessfull then all those bets lose! I had the 7 in my back pocket so at worst I was going to push. Get more then one book, shop for key numbers, and reduce juice in any way possible.
The statements "It is only 20 cents" "Lock of the year... Cubs minus (-250)" "I got 2.5 instead of +3.... Are all for long term losers.
Some observations from week 2
Tennesse is a pretty decent team... The games are won and lost in the trenches and this is where Tenn dominates.
Cincy is a bunch of soft, childish, and talented players that have no coaching or discipline. We already knew this right.
Buffallo- Thank you for cashing my ML bet. Lynch is a horse, the best running back no one is talking about. Edwards runs the show and looks very composed for a young guy.
Jacksonville is not done but injuries have killed them. Will look into playing them this week against the colts.
Oakland and K.C are piles of shit... Didn't even watch a play of this game.
Indy- Do not understand how Indy has won for so many years with such a soft team. Saturday is obviously the key to this team. Without him in the lineup Peyton spends a lot of time on his back. Adi is really banged up and not running well at all.
Minesota is a very simple team... They have one weapon on offense, AP! Tavaris Jackson is no more an NFL qb then me or you. Minesota's run defense is excellent! There past defense is putrid. Untill they get a qb, i find it very hard to back these jokers!
Chicago- As much as I like to hate on the Bears they have actually impressed me this year. Still think Lovie Smith is an idiot and Rex Grossman is trash. However, Orton is a decent qb, he doesn't make mistakes and he can distribute the ball adequately. The defense causes turnovers like nothing I have ever seen. They are a couple of plays away from winning at Carolina.
Speaking of Carolina... They sure are resiliant. Love to have my money on a competitor like Delhome. WIn or lose he is giving it his all on every play. Running game is solid and when they get Steve Smith back they will actually have a running game. How do you pass a Carolina ML this week?
Green Bay - Didn't watch much of this game, but I love how Aaron Rodgers is spitting in people's faces. I always root for the underdog and I am glad to see Rodgers is doing well. Nice little defense they trot out on the field too.
Detroit is shit, they will always be shit, and I am sorry if I offended anyone. Two freakish receivers do not make a football team. Build an offensive and defensive line and then come talk to me. Get rid of kitna!
STL- They should play a round robin tournament with K.C. and Oakland and then pack it in for the year. Spend the last 12 weeks practicing and lifting weights and come back next year. Throw Miami in that bunch too. Atleast I can see some progress in MIami.
GMEN- When they start lining up against legitimate football teams I might learn something about them.
Saints are decimated by front 7 injuries.
Washington isn't as bad as they looked in week 1 now are they? Jason Campbell isn't the worst qb in the league is he? The overreaction to this team was incredible and the books used it to make a nice profit. Washington still doesn't understand the entire playbook.
Tampa Bay- Garcia should be the qb period. They did what I thought they would do to Matt Ryan. They knocked him on his ass all day long. Graham is a heck of a running back huh? I met him in person and he sure as heck didn't look like an NFL running back to me. Nice guy though. If Griese is the starting qb this week I will be looking to play the Bears.
ATL- Got to love Matt Ryan's courage. Taking an absolute beating and getting back up and saying hit me again. Atlanta has the right attitude this year. They just don't have enough talent.
Jets- Broadway Brett fails.... Shocking...
New England- They are the best coached football team in the NFL. They have veteran leadership. They will be just fine with Matt Cassell. Books took advantage once again of public overreaction.
S.D. - NOTE I had a play on S.D. My take on the whole ED situation. Welcome to human error. The man made a mistake! He admitted he did; that is much more then I could say for about 90% of the world. How was he suppossed to correct it? If he blew the whistle and called incomplete the play is over period. PLAY TO THE WHISTLE! Everything that happens after the whistle is irrelevant. My only question is, does this ruin San Diego's season? Is this a similar situation to when the Cardinals collapsed against the Bears?
Miami- making steps in the right direction.
Arizona- It isn't going to be very fun when you have to start competing against NFL calibar teams.... Arizona might fall out of public favor very quick...
Pitt- Bluesplayer listen up... I really like your team. Your offensive line is outstanding. Ben is Ben, and parker and Holmes are very solid.. The defense is terrific! Barring major injuries, this is your AFC superbowl representitive.
Cleveland- How can you be an NFL coach and not know how to manage a game? Unbelieavable how some of these guys have jobs. Cleveland is Sexy on paper, but not much after that. J. Lewis is done, he is no burst
