first off....

since when has the NFC been the strength of the nfl..?
the giants pull an upset and now every fan of an nfc team is preaching how the afc sucks......thats a joke. san diego will make you eat your words  and ill be here to post this thread link. furthermore, im a objective capper...not a homer. although i only wager on teams i know well so call it what you want to call it..but at the end of the day i win units.

where do you get off calling tha afc a joke....
last year what were you saying??? oh the pats are the shit...oh my god tom brady.....now its the reverse.....  its one thing to have another view but dont call me out as a conservative aimlessly rambling......im calling it as it is . if you want to buy everything your told then go ahead and and be fooled. i could care less....im not fooled by the ads and the radio/ tv people. if you dont care what they say how come your preaching it right now???? ill guess your a fan of an nfc team and your sick of the dominance.

the last year the nfc was strong was when the rams won the superbowl......been a while. now the giants steal one and the whole nfc community is screaming how its the best conference. lets see what happens to the nfc when the steelers start playing them and lets see when sandiego starts warming up. ill admit...the chargers took a hit when merrimen went down.  the defense will make the nessecary changes to be productive.

hey...ill be the first to admit that the nfc is crawling closer and closer to being even with the afc but to just blast the afc as a joke makes you look like a guy who drinks the koolaid way too much. its week 3.......calm down genius. its a long haul...and  the storys will change week to week  but come december the bullshit stops and the hardest defense will shine. thats the the difference im talking about. i could care less what happens in week 2 or 3 or 4. it counts at the end of the season. do yourself a favor and watch the afc title game from last year and tell me who had the # 1 defense come playoff time. wasnt the giants.....im sorry. if sandiego met green bay they would of shut them down and made brett farve look worthless. watch bradys face and his expressions while playing the chargers....go back and watch !!!!! the # 1 offense was dismantled. absolutley shut down.......they havent forgetten how to play defense.  the giants did not shut brady down...mabey slowed him down. they still drove the field when it counted and scored leaving the lucky giants 2 min and change to pull a miracle on a old defense. 

ill stop trying to enlighten people in this fourm...its obviously a waste of time. i want to win money and watch my team do well but the last thing i am is a blinded homer...so keep your prospect mouth shut until you have a 66% winnning percentage capping  like i do. you just dont want to hear the truth and thats normal for todays american youth...lets see come week 12 or 13 what sandiego is doing and where the hype still is and then you can make a judgement on the whos who of the nfl..

 

You may or may not be right come the end of the season, but it's tough to argue that an 0-2 team is the class of the league...I don't care what unlucky breaks have gone against them so far.

You are talking about the NYG as if I'm telling you they are the greatest team since Lombardi's Packers.  What I'm trying to tell you is that you have obvious flaws on every top team in the AFC right now.  For the first time in a long time there are more solid teams at the top of the NFC. 

I really don't care if you think its a "square" position....its a fact that will be borne out over time.

You are telling me San Diego and Pittsburgh will make me eat my words.....two teams!!!!  In past years you could argue 8 of the top 10 teams in the NFL were in the AFC.  This is clearly not true anymore!!  I never said San Diego or Pittsburgh were not good teams.  All I said was that there are MORE good teams in the NFC at the moment.  Besides Pitts(who squeaked by the mighty Browns) and San Diego(0-2), lets run through the rest of the mighty AFC.

1. New England(Matt Cassel)
2. Denver(Defense?)
3. Tennesse(Kerry Collins)
4. Buffalo(really??? Buffalo???)
5. Indy(injuries...but they could rebound)
6. ????? I don't even know who else should be considered here......the Jets????

Lets look at the NFC

1.  Dallas....clearly
2.  Green Bay(Aaron Rodgers for real??? maybe maybe not)
3.  NYG (haven't played anyone tough yet...so who knows)
4.  Carolina(look pretty good but I'm skeptical)
5.  Philly(defense?? we'll see this week)
6.  Chicago(I would say on the same level as Tenn.)
7.  TB...NO...ARZ

I guess in retrospect this is a retarded argument.  The conferences look pretty equal when you look at it like this.  But I think over the course of this season you will see the NFC teams start to overtake the AFC teams.

When Brady and Manning and their respective teams are at full strength, there is no argument.  AFC hands down.  But don't call me a gullible idiot for saying nobody at the top of the NFC is afraid of playing San Diego or Pittsburgh.  Good teams....not "elite teams".  Nobody has distinguished themselves as elite yet.....but if Pittsburgh gets whacked in Philly this weekend I'd have to say the Cowboys and the Eagles would be be considered elite teams in my book at that point. 

Right now the better conference is the NFC.  Discussion over.

let me add mr know it all....that there were 60 mph wind gusts during the browns steelers game keeping the score low.......no one squeaked by. its amazing to me what you guys go on as information thats important. did you watch the game? its a division game....they are more important and tougher to win every time ...also the steelers have won the last 10000000 metings making it harder and harder. besides...who in the hell cares what you THINK...... whats important is whats fact. and the facts are the gianst won the super bowl and everyone is going crazy over the nfc....its just too much to sit here and listen to guys who have no betting record tell me where im coming from when they havent even looked at weather conditions in respect to a game..but will make rash and harsh judements regardless....

and what does right now get you???? is there a trophy for RIGHT NOW CHAMPION???   last time i checked there are 16 weeks in a nfl season not 2. it dosent matter what conference is stronger anyway....the schedule is the schedule. you play the teams in front of you not the conference...

like i said before.....the nfc and afc have never been closer in comparision....no question...

if thats your opinoin then fine mr 4 posts....just do us all a favor and cap some games because this smack talk is getting counterproductive. the steelers play the nfc east this year and we will know soon enough just how good the east is. let the teams do the talking and help out with some hadicapping so we can make some money......K........

Carolina is the biggest sucker bet I have seen in a long time.  You are wise to get out.  

I will let the Eagles do the talking Sunday when McNabb and Fraction Jackson shred the Steelers secondary.  And I am trying to "help out with some handicapping" by sharing my opinions.  My handicapping advice is... bet the Eagles, bet the Cardinals, the Bears, the Panthers and the Cowboys.  that would be a nice 5 teamer  ;)

I am starting to think the same thing.  This game really has me confused.  I can't believe all the love Carolina is getting -  seems like they are the most common pick I have heard this week, yet the line is creeping the other way - and off a key number???

I really like fading West Coast teams traveling to the East Coast for 1 pm starts.....especially flawed West Coast teams.  So even though I hate laying all that chalk I'm playing Buf -9.5.   If Buf can establish any kind of early lead Oak will have a horrendous time trying to throw the ball downfield with Russell....hes just awful right now.  Fargas is out with a hammy and McFadden is playing quote "at 70%" b/c of a toe injury.  Who knows....Kiffin could get fired at halftime. Haha

I'm certain that the Carolina game is a trap.....but I'm not sooo convinced that I'll lay the 3.5 with Minne.
