Who do you think the Class of the AFC is? 

keep drinkin that kool aid....

last year was last year. who cares about the super bowl.

1....san diego was the best team in the AFC last year. they fell to the pats due to  injury's with regards to rivers and tomlinson. if they are at full health the giants never win the superbowl. they shut down the pats offense even more than the giants did. go take a look....

2...watch and learn this year. stop watching pre game shows and buying into the hype. this is entertainment.....get used to being sold on products.if they hype it.......forget it. watch and learn.

3. the NFC  is average. philly , dallas and the giants...mabey carolina. thats it......wow what a conference....

bud .....if your logic says that commercials win football games your  logic is wothless. defense wins....super bowls. you had the 2nd best team in the afc vs the 1 nfc team for a 3rd time in one season.
enough said......you dont beat a team 3 times in one year. simple as that. the gaints had a great defense and some luck. they will not repeat. if time runs out on ELI and david tyree your singing a different tune this year. the pats were hyped all year  and what happened......the opposite. get ready for the same hype machine to give the cowboys the superbowl after week 2...   how dumb do you have to be to buy that garbage. they look good because they play in a conference with very little competition and they know sheep like you will buy into it. ever herd of marketing? its a course you can take in school....it helps sell products to earn money so our economy works well.....

4. stop quoting last year....i dont care what teams had trouble with or didnt have trouble with in regards to last season. teams change from year to year. the steelers are back to  championship football.
the cowboys have no idea what championship football is. ask romo next time hes on a weekend getaway having drinks.....
no clue.....philly has the best chance. philly knows chamionship football and until the cowboys start acting like a football team instead of a MTV production they will not be champions.

5. TO is the worst example of a team member. its a team game...how many times have you heard that??? its true......you need a team...not a sideshow.

sandiego, pittsburgh, denver, pats without brady,buffalo,tennessee are all good enough to beat any NFC team......not to mention indianapolis..... with some health of course.


watch and see...

it was windy ......what do you want from them??? ben still managed a good game with the wind...even more of an accomplishment. get your facts straight and stop believing the hype...

ill agree tennesee is going to be near the top this year. however, they are not the # 1 team in the afc......id rank them # 4 or # 5

All this discussion about the best teams in the NFC and no one--I mean NO ONE--is even mentioning the Packers. Fellas, let's wake up. For my money, the Packers are the best team in the NFC. Contrary to popular opinion, the Cowboys have ZERO defense. If that game was in Philly, the Eagles win by 10 points. If you talk about being a complete team, the Packers blow the Cowboys out of the water. And in fact, the team we're all selling really short is the Super Bowl champion Giants who have proven to be every bit as impressive as they were during their super bowl run last year.

bluesplayer - Right now the NFC is the better conference. It's only early but they have a better record vs the AFC and the Top 5 of Dallas/Philadelphia/Packers/Giants/Carolina is better than whatever top 5 anyone can pick for the AFC.

ok ok....greenbay was overlooked i apoligize on that. this NFC  vs AFC stuff is irrelevent anyway...its one game at the end of the year.
if its the steelers or chargers representing the afc you can count on them winning the super bowl.ill put my money where my mouth is right now....

they lucked into a superbowl last year.....
if sandiego was in the bowl last year you guys are singing a different tune. go back and watch them dismantle the new england offense in the afc title game......go back and watch. the chargers fell due to pussified LT and his knee and rivers having limited ability.
if its not for that the chargers are your current champs. go back and get the tivo working..please i beg you....

also green bay's defense is still not in the same leauge as the steelers. close....but not close enough.

ill give you that.....they are at the top of the nfc.....no doubt. my mistake... 

id put up every dime i have if the steelers or chargers play the pack in the super bowl. the giants are not going back to back. the pack had them beat in the nfc championship and farve gave it away as usual...but still the defense is not as good as the steelers...it just isnt. a formadable defense for sure but not # 1. the top defense wins the superbowl....we all know that. lets just agree that the afc and nfc are closer then they have ever been in recent memory. ill give you that but to claim the nfc is so much better is a joke and like i said earlier .....you cant believe the hype. media does so much to a hungry fan.....its just too much to think that your being sold...but you are. look deeper...look at the big picture. its a buissness and why would you exclude a fan base with money to spend on a product?  money money money.......that what this whole sick world revolves around.

all that said.....its going to be an interesting year for sure. we all have our thoughts and opinions and passion for our squads but reality needs to come to the forefront if your putting money down. no need to fool yourself. nothing worse than your favorite team losing when you are totally sold on them winning....   i hope green bay gets to the big game and the steelers do too....then we can see this discussion become reality..

i didnt say in there run. in the nfc title game green bay had the game in hand and could not close the deal. all farve had to do was put a drive together and kick a field goal and he farved it up like were used to.

please dont take my comments as disrepectful twords the giants. they had the defense that made a difference for sure. what im saying is this....it was a matchup that favored the giants......thats lucky. how many years did the superbowl have 2 teams who met twice in that same year and just a few weeks prior to the playoffs starting? at the same time....i loved it personally. as a steeler supporter i was sick of the pats as you can imagine, it was a breath of fresh air . if sandiego has healthy players they win the afc title last season and they would of had the better defense between the two. not by much mind you.....but still better and thus making the difference in the game. if a running style team faces the giants and controls the clock  the defense would have become tired and eventually gave way to a LT score or gates score. not a big difference but still a difference....and thats all it takes. 1 or 2 mistakes and thats the ball game. if you have the means ...go back and watch the afc title game from last season and tell me who had the #1 defense at playoff time. everyone forgets for some reason....im not sure why.

Blues player - your reasoning is clearly blinded by the fact that you are a Steelers fan and you want to think your Steelers conference is better.

To say that Pitts or San Diego would beat any team in the NFC right now is a complete joke.  Lucky for us, Pitts has to play Philly, NYG, and Dallas this year.  Lets see how they do in those games.  My guess is 1-2 at best.  San Diego's defense is absolutely horrendous right now.  Much worse than either Philly or Dallas despite what you might think from watching that MNF game.

Calling this "media hype" makes you sound like one these conservatives aimlessly rambling about the "leftwing media".  People call it as they see it.  I don't give a rats ass about who says what concerning power rankings or teams performances or where all the talent is.  I just believe what I see.  I see teams like Indy and SD losing at home to teams like Carolina and Chicago.  I see the media blessed "much improved" Browns getting "blowed" out at home to Dallas.  I see the media blessed Jaguars starting 0-2.  I see Tom Brady out for the year.  I see Vince Young contemplating suicide. 

What I don't see is an impressive collection of really tough teams in the AFC.  I see Pittsburgh....and beyond them I see a bunch of really promising but flawed teams.  Pitts, Dallas, NYG, Philly, and GB are the top 5 teams in the NFL right now.  Deal with it....or find out about it after your cash goes..
