WEEK 13
KC/ATL - I never understood the whole "they play a rival team next week" angle.. So a team is willing to lose a game and drop 1 behind in the loss column because they're playing a division game of rival the following week? Defeats the whole purpose of trying to gain ground..

They are human beings, not robots. You don't get up 100% for each game each week, impossible. It's simple sports psychology. They don't prepare for this game the same way they would prepare for Oakland if they lost an early 1 pm game.

The point is not that the team is willing to lose, obviously...only that a team's focus for the current game may not be as good as it is for the game to come which has greater importance.

KC/ATL - I never understood the whole "they play a rival team next week" angle.. So a team is willing to lose a game and drop 1 behind in the loss column because they're playing a division game of rival the following week? Defeats the whole purpose of trying to gain ground.. KC played a tough game yes but that team can punch you in the mouth. They're a legit title contender in my estimation. I see a close game with KC having a shot to win.
Action, I totally agree! Teams play one game at a time and don't start game planning until the previous one is over. That's an example of a,silly cliche, or wives tale, that has somehow, stuck in our thinking. But its, pure fluff.

Yes? The divisional game is worth 2 games.

Gotta luv it! You ramble on as though the Chefs are the only team in the league with injuries. Hell every team has injuries and every team has players with nagging injuries and they play on Sunday. Stop trying to pretend the Chefs are handicapped before the opening kickoff of every game. Good teams find a way to overcome the ankle and hamstring injuries along with the spasms and whatever. "Wont be 100% if he plays". Do you know how many players play on the underside of 100% every Sunday? Give me a break and cry me a river. ![]()

How is an out-of-conference game less important than a game against the team ahead of you in your division? Is that really what you're asking?
