Just my take, but the name red wolves kinda goes against the whole smash mouth/ warrior image.
The red wolf is the world’s most endangered wolf. Once common throughout the Eastern and South Central United States, red wolf populations were decimated by the early 20th century as a result of intensive predator control programs and the degradation and alteration of the species’ habitat. Say it ain't so. I've met Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kruetzmann but Jerry was looong gone by this point. Since most of the football players not named Jim Thorpe are not native American, I have never understood the modern day 'butt hurt' that results from using the term Redskins.
I would not be upset if the team was named the Washington: Whiteys, Honkeys, Ofays, Peckerwoods- but then again only 28% (and dwindling) of the NFL players are white-breads so numerically speaking it wouldn't be accurate at all.
Since most of the teams are Black (higher percentage each year), maybe we can think of a term that would NOT be racially offensive??? How about The Washington Brothers?
The old Washington fight song was the coolest one of all IMO and I will miss it...

Nothing is perfect. Definitely not a vaccine. However I think being anti-vaccine has everything to do with politics and nothing to do with science. And it points to how spoiled we Americans are. We are able to be anti-vaccine because of vaccines. Everyone responding has been vaccinated for something in their lives. We don't deal with smallpox outbreaks, malaria... shit that many underdeveloped 3rd world countries are ravaged by. So we afforded the luxury of sitting on high horses and saying how viruses are fake and vaccines are bad. To each their own. Everyone is free to make their own decisions about such things because, after all, this is America. Being combative about said decisions is completely asinine.
