I understand what you're getting at, however my reasoning is that every "Joe public" bettor will read the newspaper, see the Chargers at 11-3, 6-1 away, and Tenn at 7-7, 5-2 home, and say "Why is the better team the underdog???"

I feel there will be a ton of fish on the Chargers on Friday, and we all know what happens to the fish when the sharks are in the water.

Not saying the Chargers can't cover or win outright, they can, they are a great football team. I just truly believe this is a great spot for the home team to get the W, and an even better spot for the Chargers to, for lack of better words, "lay an egg" on the road.

Game sets up similar to the SD/Dallas game from week 14. Public all over SD +3, sharps on Dallas, and look what happened. Frankly Dallas lost that game more than SD won it, but regardless, SD won outright.

FYI - I had SD ML @ Dallas, with most of my reasoning being, Norv Turner had the game circled since it came out because Dallas spurned him when they went with Wade Phillips. Plus I think Tony Romo is vastly overrated.

Win or lose, Rivers needs to be highly considered for MVP. That defense is suspect, LT is past his prime, and Rivers has put this team on his back and carried it to the promise land...after starting 2-3.  love the kids fire and competitive nature

If the consensus are right @ covers than I would be a little worry backing SD in this spot. But I did my own personal consensus and the ppl I talked to think Tenn @ home is in a good spot to knock the Chargers down.

We saw the Saints getting knocked down by the Cowboys last week and the logic is Tenn will knock down Chargers this week too. I think the trend will be opposite of last week in that the better team (Chargers) will prevail this time and I mean the better team base on win/loss record.

Probably since we are all human.  Have you seen the look and body lanuguage on Eli when things aren't going well- or Favre, Warner, etc. for that matter?  They lose confidence and the zip in their step is gone.  They are all pros and I would not think that would happen to them but it does. 

  The SD game will probably be like this- lets go out there and beat them, if it seems too hard we will wrap it up with the Skins- we have another chance next week- no need to beat ourselves up and risk injury with a desperate hard playing team. 

  Also wind should be a big factor for SD.

SD will probably beat Tenn 8 times out of 10 but the line is fishy and the circumstances is probably reflected in the line in this upcoming game.   SD is no doubt on fire and can possibly blow out Tenn on any given day but the question is- will Thursday be one of those rare wins for Tenn.

   SD side percentage will keep going up until game time.  You have to be crazy to not take SD with that spread- thats what the average player is saying.  I'm an average player and would take SD -6- so imagine what the others are thinking- what a deal- and it might be but we will see in two days.

Even though the Chargers have won the last 6 straight games against the Titans in the reg. season, they are 1-3 vs. the Titans in the playoffs in all 4 meetings. Here is a perfect opportunity for the Chargers to knock Tenn out of the playoffs. This is a much needed game as a victory will only help the Chargers chances toward the Lombardi Trophy.

You been pretty spot on and I respect your input. One of the streak will come to an end tonight. I believe the winning streak is important for the Chargers in the month of Dec., so I feel they will play their usual A game to try and keep winning.

I think this is a matchup issue for the Titans and I got to go with my gut here. Titans just don't match up well at all against SD but the Titans are due for a win against Chargers so I suppose they are in a good spot tonight to do so.

Titans been bringing it since VY took over and I don't think they can play any better than they have played. They are starting to have battle scars through injuries on the defensive side and this Titans team will eventually break. I believe the Chargers will expose the Titans D tonight and will show why they started 0-6.

Chargers had injuries earlier this yr. but have been healthy for the most part in the 2nd half of the season. This is when teams like the Chargers make their run imo and we have seen that yr. after yr.

In the end, my gut and system trend force me to take the road dog in a short week.
