YTD 8-4
Tennessee Titans +3
Following another miserable performance by the Steeler offense they now might well be without Pickett (ribs) at QB and will be without the finest FS in the NFL in Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring). It will be a game-time decision on Pickett but usually when a player is injured and he doesn't return, that is an indication that he will miss at least the following game. For me, it doesn't matter either way as both Pickett and Trubisky blow.
In all due fairness to the Steelers, the torrential downpour affected their sucky offense on Sunday and the refs made a few suspicious/unfair calls against them (I had Jax in that one so just being objective). They had 4 straight 3 and outs and Diontae Johnson had two key drops in the first series. He should fire his hypnotist if he is still on the payroll.
Pickett was erratic and ineffectual and he missed a wide open DJ in the end zone as he threw behind him. Trubisky came in right before the half and he drove them down in the second half for their only TD but also threw 3 interceptions and the one killer one down by 7 he threw into triple coverage and it led to a Jax field goal putting the game out of reach. At one point the Steelers were +3 in takeaways during the game against Jax and they were still losing. ![]()
The Steeler D without Fitzpatrick can be had as he not only prevented the long bombs but he was also one of their top tacklers.
The Titans are winless on the road and they have a rook QB that had a big game last week. I am not counting on him having 4 TDs but only one or two might seal the deal this week. That Pittsburgh secondary can be had IMO and has only the one good CB and he is the rook Porter Junior.
Steelers' Points For 113 Points against 147 which for me is a telling stat and the Steeler D has been on the field for more time than only one other team (Jets) and they seem to be getting gassed. If the Titans can have a semblance of a run game, it is lights out for the Steelers IMO and they will go down to defeat.

Pickett said he is playing
Glad to hear it, now the bum QB will play with a bum rib from being body slammed into the ground last Sunday.
KP has durability issues and is one hit away from an end to his season. KP is regressing and is not as good as he was at the end of last year.
Pickett did get married in the off season so his period of adjustment might have been halted by that big distraction (major life decision and who knows what he has to deal with at home?). The only strength that Trubisky has over Pickett, is his ability to run.

I agree just pathetic with Pickett he might turnout to be one of these guy who had a very good college career and a flop in the NFL he took a lot of beatings in college maybe he's taken too many now I would have made a switch to Mitch games ago.
I wouldn't be surprise if Mitch plays well enough to beat the Titans their nothing special the Steelers defense can shut them down.
Trubisky will start wouldn't make sense if he don't and why would Tomlin tip his hand on who's starting.
I think if Henicke started that game for Atlanta last Sunday Titans lose.
At least you're +3 I can see the logic of taking points vs a team that can't score.
GL buddy

@Silverstones
We majorly disagree on that, I think Mitch is THE WORST...he had one good start last year and that was because the Steelers were able to run on Carolina...I actually watch their games and Mitch is pathetic.
I just don't watch the Red Zone for highlights like some folks (won't mention any names
) Mason Rudolph #3 is the better of all of them for at least he can throw a beautiful deep ball and he moves in the pocket now...but he won't get another chance unless Mitch starts and is concussed. Mitch can't read defenses and when he does throw over the middle he more times than not gets picked. Mitch = a$$ IMO.

We'll see with Trubisky I think a little time to prepare and knowing you're starting rather than being thrown in a game makes a difference there's no question in my mind he'll be better than what you were watching with Pickett.
I have two TV's with games on them that I watch complete and I have the Red Zone on a tablet don't crucify me for having the Red Zone sorry I mentioned that I have it lol

for sure, I went back recent to see the Tomlin primetime after big ben. this is the first primetime as a fav since ben left. steelers get 4 or more times a year in primetime
last year they were road dogs 4 times. went 2-2 SU but 3-1 ATS. this year home dog once and outright. 4-1 ATS last 5....last 2 seasons. Tomlins player talent level doesnt seem to matter but he definitely elevates whoever in these situations. short week, better coach at home vs bad road team, vs a couple first year Qbs in the limelight
few good situations right there for sure

Pickett at his media interview on Tuesday said he will be starting Thursday despite sore ribs.
Mitch's interview was scheduled after Pickett but he was a no show.

Wouldn't you rather watch,
Pastorini vs Bradshaw
Campbell vs Harris
Burrough vs Swann
Bum Phillips vs Chuck Noll
Steel Curtain
Get out the popcorn and watch some real football.
Thursday Nights' game --- Unwatchable.
Good luck cappers. ![]()

At the beginning of last year, Trubisky was the starter for the first 4 games. He knew he was going to be the starter and guess what? He sucked and he sucked and he sucked and he sucked and was benched at halftime in the 4th game. Anyone who watched those Steeler games knows what I am talking about (which you didn't).
MT couldn't read defenses, was frightened of throwing over the middle, threw only a few medium range passes down the sideline and the big one, could not generate points. He stunk to high heaven and Pickett is actually better than him but he stinks too but has five 4th quarter comebacks (out of 20 games) which is something old Mitch cannot do.
The big one for the Steelers is that they cannot run the ball. Towards last year the Oline improved and they actually were doing well but now they have new, supposedly better free agents who are worse than what they had. It is a mediocre franchise and anyone who follows them knows it and their fanbase is sick of participation trophies as they want a real contender.
