Still think Public % & $ on a team doesnt effect games?
It has no effect on the game, your reading into it upside-down and backwards.
The piublic% and money lose because they pick teams for all the wrong reasons, it's called poor handicapping, has nothing to do with Vegas, but Vegas does know the masses will make poor decisions.

It has nothing to do with rigs, setups, fixes, or any of that nonsense.
It's a lucrative industry because the overwhelming majority of the betting population lacks the knowledge and discipline to succeed on a long-term basis.
And it's not going to change any time soon.

The truth is, most people simply aren't good at this.

Nothing devious or underdhanded would ever occur where huge amts of money are involved. regularly. Never.
For the purposes of this discussion, I'll accept what you're saying as true.
Nonetheless, when you make a wager, you assume the risk that the game on which you are placing money will be altered by external forces completely outside of your control. No amount of complaining, whining, and/or otherwise useless behavior will rectify the problem. You control only one part of the equation - the decision to place the bet. Any undesired consequences of this decision fall within your assumption of the risk.
Fair enough?

When it's to good to be ture it normally is . I don't care what team you are laying 14 on the road is a bad bet ( unless u r Denver or u r playing the jags) . I didn't touch this game It screamed public blood bath just from the %Of money on Seattle which i think was at 80/20 at kick off Vega's Gave um a bone earl Sunday an took it all.back lastnight . You live u learn hopefully Bank rolls didn't het destroyed to bad.
I don't have much problem with your theory until the last part, "took it all back last night" as if you know for a fact that people would put all their winnings and/or then some on last night's game.
One common theme on losing players is that they pull back(bet less and less on a hot streak) when they win but when they lost, they chase/double down. Sure, you can find one who would do the opposite but he would be the exception, not the norm.

the powers that be would never take adv/exploit the public.
It's a business. Books and oddsmakers should look to exploit the public. Not by fixing games, of course, but rather by setting lines and numbers to take advantage of the ridiculous percentage of people who are simply bad at this?
Why fault books and oddsmakers for the general public's collective ignorance?
