The logic is simple. The line has moved up to 14 and possibly beyond. That is as lopsided as you'll see money placement on an NFL game.  The NFL is part of a business. Part of that business includes point spreads. In order for the business to not to lose a lot of money, Seattle must lose this point spread.

THE NFL is not "the business."

"The Business" is las vegas and offshore books.

Thus, Seattle wins by a million points.

How about this... Vegas doesn't care if Seattle covers 10.5 or 14.5. Why? Because it's one game out of the season

Ok, that does make sense. But why take a loss, if you don't have to?  Tonight will singlehandedly make a few men way richer than they were before. But it's not because they bet on Seattle -10.5. It's because they know somebody that can pull strings for a certain sum of money, and they can make a wind fall piling on the St. Louis Rams.  This is business, big business, sometimes dirty business.

There is more to the NFL than just television tuning in. Pointspreads are huge. Point spreads and money made by gambling on the NFL is huge.  Tonight it'll be one of the larger killings the NFL has made on it's innocent naïve public.  Save yourself by not betting Seattle -10.5

Yea,just what I thought. My logic is irrefutable.  One liners, adhominem attacks, or other attempts to sway people from understanding the business side of point spreads.  Sure, money is made on 10 percent cuts and there aren't always equal amounts on each side. But come on, this is a LANDSLIDE to one side. Business has a way of working and sometimes it requires a push from the "business side".  The line movement speaks for itself. Tonight's result just puts more evidence on what I'm saying to be the case.

For those of you that believe that a business's top motive is to make as strong of a profit as possible, you'll be betting St.Louis + 10.5 or greater.   You have the suckers, naïve, larger, population supporting the wrong side tonight.

How in the world can you have over 3,600 posts and think this way, just doesn't seem possible.  It would be one thing if you said Vegas was taking us all for a ride, but to say it is the NFL is too funny!!

Hopefully nobody too weak minded follows this cat's solid advice!!

Your logic is stupid. The line is set to get action on both sides. People will c the line at plus 14 and be like damn I was going to bet hawks but that's to much ill take rams now. If your reasoning made sense the bucs would have beat the panthers the vikings would have covered and by some miracle the rams win. However this is football and young qbs struggle against good defenses. Rams d needs to show up tonight for them to have a chance. The play tonight is hawks or pass. Betting rams because vegas said so is bad logic. Remember vegas loses the battle a lot just not the war. They have millions more games to wager on, ones where public misconceptions make them money. I faded tje public this week with houston over ru and giants over eagles.. I will not however fade public on this one...its be like taking jax who lost by 30. I see it happening again. Vegas however made some very strong lines next weekend, they will get their money back.
