What can I say that I haven't said already. The Dolphins are coming into this game pretty much fully healthy and as confident as can be. Their run defense is playing unbelievable. Lacy 14 carries for 40 yards and Forte 12 carries for 49 yards. They should be able to make the Jaguars very one dimensional and dominate this game

Miami is better at every single position on the field than the Jaguars, except for kicker. Yes it is a 'road' game but anyone who follows the Dolphins know they play better on the road (unless its vs Pats at home.) I haven't called for a Dolphins blowout yet this season, so this is my first one. The only logical reason to back Jax is because the public is on Miami. The line should be right around 7 so it doesn't bother me that much that it is close to that now. If you plan on fading the Fins, I suggest you wait until the upcoming weeks. Their schedule gets tougher, and I just can't see the Jags keeping it close unless the Dolphins completely no-show (which is always a possibility, sadly.) But there is a different feel arouind this team now. A LOT of confidence.

    Dolphins game YTD: +20u
    Prediction: 31-10, Dolphins

    Miami Dolphins -5.5: 5u to win 4.7
    Jaguars under 19: 3.5u to win 3.3
    Dolphins over 24: 2.5u to win 2.4

Chargers on 0-3 streak L3 ATS and Dolphins been hot yet Vegas opens the line at -2.5 at home.

Yes I will take it. Their offense did not play well because they couldn't touch the ball in the first half. The defense did not play well either other than the fact they got pressure and capitalized on bad passes. They played bad against the run and let up too many 3rd downs. Should have held the Jags to 6 though, that long touchdown was a terrible breakdown on Michael Thomas.

I'm just glad the Dolphins are beating bad teams. I said before the season you will know they are turning a corner when they start to beat bad teams. They outscored Oakland and Jax 65-27. If they would have handled the bad teams on their schedule last year they would have been a playoff team.

A lot of ups and downs this year but 4-3 is nice spot for now

The Chargers/Dolphins matchup scares me only because it's hard to imagine a decent Chargers team going on a 0-4 skid. Rivers is a top 5 NFL QB this season and although the Dolphins faired well against Brady and Rodgers I don't think the Dolphins can start off slow again and try to catch up against a pretty solid Chargers offense. It's incredible at times to see Rivers just toss the ball into a crowded backfield and to see Gates come up with the catch. Royal has been a beast at times as well. Oliver might put in some huge runs as he is the type of back that keeps his legs churning and refuses to go down. The Dolphins defense better work hard on their tackling this week.

As far as the Dolphins offense it's becoming monotonous to hear them say week after week..."we got to play better", "We have to start off faster", Etc. If they were to execute what they preach week in and week out I wouldn't worry about this Chargers matchup lol.

As usual I'm hoping for a Dolphins victory but I'm about this game...just keeping it real

BTW brutha your friend Jimmy Wilson was at practice today

    Aloha

As usual I'm hoping for a Dolphins victory but I'm about this game...just keeping it real

BTW brutha your friend Jimmy Wilson was at practice today

I think the Chargers are on a 2 game losing streak. I know they lost week 1 and pretty sure they are 5-3 now. Great point about Gates he will be a huge factor. We all know what kind of trouble Miami has covering tightends. They definitely lack a really good covering linebacker.

Yes, I am tired of the 'we must play better.' No chit, its obvious. I don't really blame the offense too much last week. Collidge played a god awful game which killed the O-line. Miami had no rhythm at all in the first half. So yeah they did not play well, but if Tannehill doesn't throw that pick in the endzone they woulda scored 34 points and it would be been an average day for the offense. The offense absolutely has to play better, but I expected a step back after that amazing offfensive showing vs CHI.

Huge coincidnece that Jimmy Wilson doesnt' play in back to back games and Miami's secondary plays amazing....Right? Asmuch as I hate to admit it. If Wilson was playing the Jags would not have scored that TD because he doesn't make mental breakdowns. He is just undersized, can't tackle and is not a ball hawk. Which is why I don't like him.

I would back the Dolphins at -2.5, but not 3. I really think this is going to be a tight game that is decided by 3 points, so I don't see much value at all at -3. I will not be betting heavy on this game, but I do think the Dolphins win a razor sharp close game. I think Sturgis will play a big role in this game (which makes me nervous) kicking. Look for him to be cut the day after this game if he struggles. He is on the fringe.

Either way I would not bet big on this game. Maybe a prop bet on Antonio Gates catches/yards. (Even though if I didn't bet props this year I'd be up closer to 40 units) but yeah I definitely see this game ending by 3 points. I think Miami takes this one, but very close game.

I was surprised to find that Sturgis is 12/13 on Fg this year. So maybe his job isn't on the line but he is shaky at best. Even when I bet on another teams player prop against the Dolphins I hope it loses. I just feel their is value in Gates.

I also don't see the score being that low at 20-16. I think the score last year was 24-20 and I think it will end right around that. Could see a shoot out though.

SD Chargers at Miami Dolphins (-2, 45)

Last year when these 2 teams played they were both 4-5 and pretty desperate for a win. It was an ugly game that Miami won 20-16 (I was wrong when I said 24-20.) Rivers threw an INT in the endzone on the last play of the game from about the 25 yard line. The Dolphins had no run game with D Thomas gaining 51 yards and Miller gaining 17. Mathews ran for 127 yards for SD. Other than that it was basically even in every other category. The Chargers TE's Green and Gates each had 4 catches for a total of 131 yards.

I saw Oliver get eaten up by the Broncos defensive line. Miami does much better against bigger backs than elusive ones. Robinson ran all over Miami last week, but a huge chunk came on a fake reverse. SD is 30th in the league in rushing YPG which isn't good.  I expect that Rivers will have to do most of the heavy lifting if SD wants to win.

These teams are pretty even this year and better than they were last year when they played. It seems like everything is pointing towards the under, but I feel like it will be a higher scoring game. Phillip Rivers scares me, and Tannehill usually follows a bad game with a good one. I'm just staying away from the total this week, and focusing on a huge game for both teams. I don't think this is the smartest game to bet on, so I am treading lightly. I think it will be very tight, and whichever team makes the biggest play in the final minute will win. Just hope Phillip Rivers doesn't have a chance.  I will most likely not be betting heavy on the next 2 games,(at Det next week) but am looking forward to their TNF game vs Buffalo week 11.

    prediction: 23-21, Dolphins
    ytd Fins games +30u

    Miami Dolphins -1.5 (-110): 3.5u to win 3.3

Any idea as to when the books will release player prop lines for this game? I use 5dimes and I'm looking into Gates for receptions, When does your book release the lines?

I haven't seen a Dolphins game like that is 15 years.

Thank you Dolphins for finally showing all the potential, and making me look like less of a homer

@bigrome: hell yea. The last 3 games have been amazing. Crazy to think if not for Aaron Rodgers they'd be 6-2.

@bigdaddy: thanks man. I literally cannot remember the fins playing like that vs a good team in 10 +years...Maybe thanksgiving day vs the lions when Harrington to Chambers hooked up for 3 tds. Their defense is lights out with Jones and grimes playing like the 2 best defensive backs In the league.

@beardown: I'm just enjoying this one now I will definitely be on them next week. This was the best game I've seen in a looooong time so expecting them to playing that every week isn't realistic but all the potential is showing.

Can you believe that profootballtalk had the Dolphins rated #32 going into this season. If the guy(s) doing those rankings still have a job, that entire website should be shutdown

Damn brutha you had to bring up that Green Bay game...I was just getting over it until you mentioned it...lol just kidding.  but you are right we were 6  seconds away from being 6-2.

The Lions does have a nasty front on defense. I'm hoping the Dolphins o-line can keep Tannehill clean like they did against the Chargers. If they can't Waiting to see if Miller is actually ok if not the Dolphins are going to have Thomas and Williams carry the load and that's

As far as Profootballtalk goes...I'm glad they had the Dolphins flying under the radar. A lot of teams are falling below expectations like the Seahawks and 49ers while teams like the Dolphins and Browns are silently making a decent season of it so far...well maybe not so silent since yesterday's victory. I think Marino is actually having a larger influence on Tannehill as he seems to be progressing well. If Tannehill continues to absorb the info who knows how far the Dolphins can go this season.

Dolphins (+2.5, 43) vs Detroit Lions.

Really tough game to get an accurate read on. I feel like the Lions are one of those teams I can never get a solid read on. They have all the talent but when I watch/bet on them I never know what I'm going to get. They can be as bad as they were first half vs Atlanta, or as good as the second half. When I bet on a Lions game, I just don't know what I'm going to get. Getting Calvin Johnson back is huge and should benefit Tate a lot. Grimes has shown me that he can cover receivers much bigger than him, like AJ Green and Marshall. Johnson will definitely get some catches, but it would surprise me if he had more than 80 yards. Finnegan on Tate is a rough matchup, and for some reason am feeling a Ebron touchdown. Bush scares me in the run game too. Its going to be a tough test for Miami's D, and I am interested to see how they back up last weeks performance.

If you watched Miami's game last week at all, you saw total dominance after the first drive of the game. SD converted 2-3 long third down before being stuffed on 4th and 1. After that Miami outgained SD roughly 400 to 90. I was just sitting there pretty shocked that play after play they continued to dominate against a good team. They made Phillip Rivers look like Geno Smith and Tannehill played the best game by a QB since Marino. Every pass was perfectly placed. It was incredible to watch. I don't want to hear 'it was just one game either.' In the last 5 weeks, Tannehill has completed 14 in a row, twice. He also had 2 of the best games of his career, and added a nice bonus with his legs. Like I said I haven't seen a game like that in 15 years but the potential is there. Just knowing they can play at that level should be frightening to anyone playing the Fins, or betting against them.

Lions have the best ranked defense in the NFL, and the Dolphins have the 3rd. I feel the same way going into this game as I did last week. I expect a tight game, but I think the Dolphins have the talent to pull it out. I think the biggest factor going into this game is the Dolphins O-line. If they protect against the Lions nasty front 7, which is easier said than done. Really the biggest factor for me betting on this game is how good Miami is playing. The Lions haven't played a really impressive game since week 3 vs the Packers. I'll take the hot team, as an underdog.

    ytd Dolphins games: +33.5u

    prediction: 27-20, Dolphins

Miami Dolphins ML: 5u to win 6.6
    Miami Dolphins O 20.5: 4u to win 3.8

Fun fact, All of the Dolphins wins this year have been by double digits. GL, whatever you play. Go fins
