i dont know where u got that from, u might need some help with your math,  my numbers are indicating  8-1-1 with five no plays for obvious reason

Well  if you read the entire thread you would see that there are factors that need to be figured into every game,  But the results dont lie, my plays are posted here on this thread,  i dont see anyone else posting an 80% plus winnning percentage on totals.  I gonna say that primetime is irrelvant here, my early lean is over in this mon. game, unless there are some late weather breakthoughs, in that case i may layoff, but well see,  good luck everyone

So I've been reading this thread and I have to say its kept my interest. Because of this I'm going to have to call shenanigans on the above quoted post. You see, based on eddys picks and taking into account his no plays, this little system would have been 7-9 on yesterdays games. Not a bad percentage for a "one line system".

In addition, somewhere in the thread the poster sauve4life42 was ruminating on whether or not to take the over in the Mizzu/Okla college game as that was the outcome this system predicted. So guess what the real outcome was? That's right, over.

So couple of caveat's. I haven't used this system personally, but if it keeps hitting then I'll consider tailing some of eddys picks. Second, no system is perfect and takes into consideration all variables and thus you should probably (as eddy did) keep such things as weather conditions, key injuries, etc., in mind before betting those units. Finally my own preference is to always buy the hook because to me there is nothing worse than watching a white knuckle game just to see it end in a push.

i think basing a totals play on the history of monday night games is ridiculous.  Just b/c monday night games tend to go over this season, that has nothing to do with whos playing in it, injury factors,  or the weather. Trend betting is just an easy way to give your bookie donations.

Just for some context; my 7-9 for eddys Sunday results are based on the Covers Scoreboard lines which are probably a median figure acceptable to all and sundry. Some people will get a lower line, others a higher one.

How did u get 7-9, when i posted 5 no plays??  No plays are no plays for a reason, and if u do a lil digging you can see that 4 out of 5 of those no plays went the other way regarding the system.

Wha?????

Based on the cumulative plays put in by eddy and Roberto (if you played them all) you would have been 8-13 and of the 5 losses 4 should have been (actual result) under and 1 over based on the Covers.com Scoreboard (median average). So either you have a crap book or your figures are way off.

So as you can see edys, taken from your own posts, your picks (based on the Covers/com Scoreboard) were 7-9. Because everyone's choice of book is going to have a line with a certain amount of variance, I chose the Covers.com NFL Scoreboard as the median.

I was just re-reading my posts eddys and realized where the confusion came from. My 7-9 or 8-13 should be read 7 for 9 and 8 for 13 respectively.

So if there was any confusion then my bad.

My apologies WinsNow999, when I saw "Week 13" I ascribed Week 14 results to it. I have no idea how this system did in Week 13, for now I'll have to take eddys word that his system was a winner then.

ozzy ok now it makes sense, everything u were sayin was accurate but i couldnt figure out where u were getting a 7-9 from. But i got ya 7 outta 9.  Good Stuff

 I guess the game will be 24 all tonight then and over the total.  Good theory but you have to take in consideration, weather, injuries and momentum of a team.

Well as of now it looks like the over, it seems to be driving up on most books.  Well see what the weather's like come game time.  GL

When i play  these totals i never have a confidence level, using the sys,  it is what it is! Granted, other factors play a big role, but those factors arent things that are pending, they're definite.  Ya know??

I was on my way to Vegas and did not have Internet Access to see this post.  But with LIVE Vegas odds I had a NO PLAY on Jacksonville and Detroit.  A LOSS on Dallas, Philadelphia, Houston and Cleveland by half a point.  Maybe I should sign up for a Sportsbook.  I could still break even with an OVER tonight.  I HOPE that was your suggestion.  I like your system.  I only want a system with 55 or 60% WINS.  But Please don't tell everyone that you were 8-1 when there are 2 known LOSSES listed above.  I was a Accountant (I know something about numbers) for 30 years and 2 does not equal 1, ever!!  Heading to Vegas again next week, this time with a laptop to check in before I BET.   Thanks for all your work.

In eddys defense let me remind you that I used the Covers.com NFL Scoreboard line(s) as a basis for the results attributed to his system plays.

Using said source his plays were 7 for 9, HOWEVER, although his NYJ@SF Over play was obviously wrong by -8 pts (line of 45 actual total of 38) his NE@SEA Under while a lose of +2 using the Covers.com line (line of 43 actual total of 45), could have been a Push and therefore his claim of 8-1-1 would be correct, depending on whether or not he had got the 43 from his book and/or bought the hook to bring it down to 43.

As all degenerate gamblers know there can be some real differences in the line(s) sports books offer and small or large line moves over the course of a week are not unprecedented.

So long story short, 2 does not equal 1, but 1 and 1 doesn't always equal 2 sometimes it equals 1.5 (just ask the Eagles or the Bengals) or a lose and a push.

As it stands the two grammatical errors have me sounding like a jughead. I understand why there is no mechanism for editing posts as people could change picks retroactively and claim they were always winners (or maybe losers), but for everything else it is a right pain in the ass.
