Just fade this idiot. He thought packers would beat 49ers by 10+ and Titans would beat Patriots. He would bet the packers if they were -7/-7.5+ but since it's under 7, he's betting the bears???? 

First off, NO SUCH THING AS A TRAP. Second, the reason that Vegas era even money on games that are perceived as traps is because there are people who bite on the line, and people who have flawed thinking like you who go the opposite way because of the line. Like you said, if Vegas sets this line at 7+, most people are on GB. But they make it lower to get people thinking its a "trap" so they will bet the opposite side. That's how they use your perception against you (notice how I use perception instead of trap)

The line movement is just in play to make the sides adjustable.  Or a big timer is pounding the Bears just to get GB at a favorable line and then pound GB at say -4 which is a key number.  There is value here from 4-6.  If the line jumps to GB -7.5 jump ship  fast

According to covers, this line opened @ GB -4.5 then shot up to GB -6.  Now, I've noticed that it's back down to GB -4.5.

I don't think the books are trying to screw w/ people in this game. If so, why not keep it at GB -4.5?  By moving it from -4.5 to -6, you only invite Bear action.  If you're trying to attract Bear action, then why move it back down to -4.5???

Guys, I followed Sharks so I was lucky.  We are all wrong sometimes.  Our opinions differ like in religion, the economy or politics.  Luckily this is only football.  I follow so many good posters in all the forums, without them I would be a goner. The issue of traps or no is an opinion.  You believe or you don't.

I dont mind all the jabber mouths.  Its entertainment.  I am in the plus side on units with all sports so far so the ignorance with these guys is just silly.  I was on the wrong side but I still dont think the bet was awful and my judgement was still sound.  The Bears hurt themselves last night bad....actually surprised they didnt get blown out by more.  Their defense played very well and their offense was just simply awful.  And the Packers defense played well.  The Bears killed themselves, had they played better with better control of the football we would be singing a different tune right now
