Maybe Carson Palmer puts up numbers fantasy wise from time to time, but I just think he is nowhere near the tops 5. Hes borderline Terrible. Take it from a guy who was stuck with him at QB last year. He had a great game, and the rest of his season was shit and interceptions. Hes very over-rated, maybe one more year of his shitty interceptions will take the rest of his backers away.

    Sincerely,

    David Garrard

    Donovan McNabb

    2004 - 31 TD's, 8 INT's, 6 Fumbles Lost, 104.7 QB Rating

    2005 - 16 TD's, 9 INT's, 3 Fumbles Lost, 85.0 QB Rating

    2006 - 18 TD's, 6 INT's, 2 Fumbles Lost, 95.5 QB Rating

    2007 - 19 TD's, 7 INT's, 5 Fumbles Lost, SACKED 44 Times, 89.9 QB Rating

At this point in his career McNabb is just an average, soon to be 32 year old, injury prone QB who is nowhere near the elusive QB he once was.....as shown by the astronomical 44 times he was sacked last season in just 14 games.

Lakers, you obviously don't know much or are misinformed.  Throwing stats out there when the guy was "playing' injured.  Those numbers are skewed b/c of that.

Seems like you are trying to talk yourself and other cgirl fans into believing that he is done.  Oh contrair.

Say what you want, but deep down in your gut you know that if #5 is healthy------Philly wins this division and Romo is probably the 2nd or 3rd best QB in the div.  We both know that.  Perhaps that's the fear that has you knocking the guy.

As for being nowhere near as elusive as he was.  Maybe you should watch the last 4-5 games to see that he was getting back to his old self.  Nothing like a clueless dallas fan to open up the hole on his grill w/o knowing what he's yapping about.

Boogie man is gonna get get you and he's wearing #5.

At the end of this season both you and TO will be crying uttering the infamous words that he made famous last tr.  "That's my quarterback..."

    TOP 5 QBs

    Brady
    P MAnning
    Palmer
    McNabb
    Brees

It actually has nothing to do with me being a Cowboys fan or anything like that. Sounds to me like you're trying to convince yourself a lot more than I am. And believe me Mr. South Jersey, I am far from clueless. Based on your statements, which I think you should go back and re-read, you have some sort of pipe dream going on right now about your Eagles.

My point around him not being top 5 is based on several factors...

    1) Injury prone
    2) Age
    3) Certainly lost a step
    4) Years of abuse on his body
    5) Lack of weapons aside from Westbrook (you think DeSean Jackson's gonna step right in? Not me.)
    6)   Kevin Curtis and  Reggie Brown

So, like I said, based on all of these factors there's no way in hell McNabb is a Top 5 QB.

    1. Brady
    2. Manning
    3. Rothlesburger
    4. Palmer
    5. Brees

Brady and Manning both have played on terrible teams as first and second year players...They turned their respective teams around and have won super bowls.  Big Ben has made a great organization better and he is a complete QB entering his prime including the youngest to win a SB, but after these 3 there is a dropoff in terms of success....

Palmer has talent all around him, yet they still are not very good..It is hard to blame it on him because of the bad D and coaching, but he needs to prove he can win games before he moves up anywhere near the top 3...Definetely has enormous talent...

Brees is hard to figure out..He puts up massive amounts of offensive stats, but looking closely it is when the games are out of reach...He couldn't win in San Diego and now he has shown he can't win in N.O.  Again, last year was tough to blame on him with the injuries they had, but he hasn't been able to make that step and be as good as people make him out to be...Still good enough to round out the top 5..

Didn't go outta my way at all buddy.....that was just in direct response to your post.

I've always been a fan of Booker, really like his running style. How many touches will he get though? How will he fit in?

Either way, doesn't change the fact that McNabb is clearly on the decline...

Maybe this yr he skips the getaway weekend and focuses on winning a playoff game. Ballsy move for an avg QB that can't hold a "pressurefilled" snap.

At this point in his career McNabb is just an average, soon to be 32 year old, injury prone QB who is nowhere near the elusive QB he once was.....as shown by the astronomical 44 times he was sacked last season in just 14 games.

    89.9 QBR is top5!

You made the insightful comment that he wasn't ever a top 5 QB, which shows what little grasp of the game you have.
