The Jaguars coach is one of the most overrated in the league. Another 'offensive genius' that doesn't generate points.
Look at that 3rd down call he has the running back running around the backfield and then throws a zero yard pass to him on 3rd and 6 when he had nowhere to go
And they did that because they were only trying to get 3 or 4 yards so they could go for it on 4th down. Even tho he didn't get any yarda they went for it anyway and it was almost picked.
There's been 3 open guys that TL missed for 1st downs all 3 of them were thrown too far ahead and low the guys tried to make diving catches but a good QB would have hit them.
I don't get how coaches don't grasp getting stuffed on 4th down ignites the other team and deflates your defense not to mention giving good field position to the offense. As soon as they turned it over on downs i knew Houston would score if they got one first down.
They own the Jags anyway but I just want to say watch Liam Cohen's playcalling. It was atrocious last week and he is IMO about to become the new Mike McDaniel.

You do see a lot of teams now running or throwing way short of the sticks on 3rd downs near the middle of the field bc they are planning to go for it on 4th.
They arent fooling anyone. Everyone knows what you're doing. These guys need to go back to basics. They are completely misusing analytics bc they just consider it in a vacuum.
For example they go oh its 55% on 4th and 2 or less. Yea, but 80% of that 55% was Josh Allen and Jalen hurts on tush pushes and your team doesnt have that. So those numbers do not apply to you. Or how about you are in a low scoring grind of a game that is expected to end 17-14. Then you dont gamble, those 3 pts are worth more there

Wow and Tuten open for the TD on that pass too. How can someone have 5 TDs negated through week 6. Is there some kind of conspiracy against Tuten or just the Jags?

This is absolutely my last season watching and betting on the NFL. On what planet was that holding?
Oh, and that makes a 3rd 1st and goal in 3 quarters that the Jags came away with zero points on.
Hochuli making that holding call was egregious. They're probably just being told by the powers that be to help the Texans out because they lose today they're really almost out of it and the Jags are starting to run away with the division. Have to try and keep it competitive somehow.

Yeah and a lot of those stats they started pushing when going for it had only started being a trend and would actually catch people by surprise.
If you watch games you know teams are getting stuffed on 4th down more than they make it. And also how many of those 4th downs are in 2 minutes drills vs prevent defenses at the end of games and halfs.
Makes no sense to do it in the first half of games unless you're getting beat bad. But teams are doing it in 1st quarter of tie games and even when they're winning.

Tuten has literally had over 40 pts of fantasy production taken away this year already. I dont think ive ever seen a single player lose so much to penalties
